What is your favorite TV show?

I watched 3 seasons of Breaking Bad, the first season was great but after that it dragged too much for me to keep going after season 3. I also didn't think it was all that great in general.

Just started Daredevil and I gotta say I'm pleasantly surprised considering I've never really been a fan and new television shows are often a turn off for me. I watched Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D and wasn't very impressed and Arrow is very "eh" to me. Never watched Gotham but Daredevil has me hooked completely and personally cannot believe that these made for Netflix shows are so damn good and a pleasant surprise. I'm going to check their other shows and hope to be as impressed as I am with Daredevil and quality. I really think alot of it is the choreography and actual non t.v. style fight scenes. A hero that, while blind and has a sort of super power does get hurt, and does get tired. A few surprises in casting help too. I do give a recommendation to Daredevil, comic fan or not.

Currently underway? Probably Game of Thrones?

Of old stuff? Firefly+Serenity, Generation Kill, Total Recall 2070, Space Above & Beyond, Monty Python's Flying Circus,...

Is Firefly worth watching? I've heard a lot about that show, but I don't know much myself. Also, it's unfinished/rushed?

It's pretty good. Solid Joss Whedon fare.

I wouldn't say it's rushed, but it got cancelled (prematurely, I might add) after two or three seasons, so they wrapped up the story in the movie Serenity.

After half a season, actually. And after airing 11 of 14 episodes out of the intended order.

Thank you anonymous game of thrones leaker. Waiting a month for the next episode is worth it to see these 4 at least.

It's not long, yeah, I might watch it. First up though, Band of Brothers.

You haven't seen that one yet? You're in for a good time bro!

I have watched Game Of Thrones, Sons Of Anarchy, Dexter, Skins (Brittish), Lie To Me and Californication (yeah, I really had nothing to do), now I'm starting with "Vikings", which seems to be pretty fun. I didn't really watch TV for like four years or so.

I have yet to see an episode of any of those shows; half of them I've never heard of.

Lately... Stargate SG1, Agents of Shield, and Sleepy Hollow.

I play King's Bounty too. One could almost call these a guilty pleasure. I seem to like the show(s) and the games.
But then... I also liked X-files and The Lone Gunmen; and I like Zatoichi films.

Or perhaps its a case of ability to get something out of it that wasn't actually put in.

(I am surprised they are both still on the air though.)

Well, if you watch Firefly + Serenity, it's quite decent. I'd surely recommend it.

It's aired out of order, but you don't really notice if you don't know the background. What's most interesting is that the most "emotional" episode (near the middle/end of the season IIRC) was actually the last episode they shot when they already knew they were being cancelled. The emotions you see are real.

As for the follow up movie Serenity, it's quite a kick in the nuts, but in a good way since it did away with some of the standard Hollywood bullshit.

FireFly: If you are in (or can proxy into) the US, you can get Hulu, and Hulu allows you to watch the shows in order (what episodes they have). Five (of fourteen) are currently free to view; I watched two of them last night.

Wow, I never realized Firefly got cancelled so quickly. I thought there were two seasons, at least. But then, I never watched it straight through.

Quite a numbskull decision from one of the prick Hollywood gatekeepers. That town is run by a handful of douchebags.
