What is your favorite TV show?

Daredevil was fantastic, definitely the best thing Marvel has done right next to Guardians of the Galaxy. Kingpin was absolutely incredible in both acting and character, I'd even say that the adaption was better than the source material.

That fight choreography...Oh man that fight choreography.

That particular fight scene is actually what got me into to the show. I didn't think it'd go deeper than that but it did and I'm glad it did. It does give me hope for Marvel's other series that are planned and hope that The Punisher is part of that scuzzy New York underground vigilanty superhero group. It's weird how DC, on film keeps me going "eh" and Marvel keeps me going, "That's pretty awesome."

Yeah, binge-watched the first season of Daredevil over the past few days and I seriously like it. Compared to Arrow and Flash it feels much more grounded, I think.
Y'know, not every goddamn person is impossibly good at the flashiest forms of hand-to-hand-combat, even normal people take a bit more than just one punch to go down and the fights look like they're actually exhausting and painful.
Also, no fucking intro-talk to explain who he is and what he does and what happened before. I hate that. I'm not fucking stupid, I know what I'm watching!
I guess the show will get a bit more comic-like, with the introduction of the costume and his general hero-status.
Not too mention that they mentioned Owlsley way too often to not add the Owl very soon.

Would anyone else like a "realistic" tv-show about vigilantes? Without any superpowers, supervillains, flashy costumes and all that stuff? Could be interesting imo.

Ok so... 3 episodes in Daredevil... It picks up like a motherfucker in episode 4 right? Because so far this series has been a sleeping pill, it's Arrow all over again. Only interesting character is Murdock's dad and he is dead. I got bored of crime procedurals eons ago so none of the plots have really felt unique or interesting at all.

The Kingpin starts to get a bigger role, and he's a really good character. It picks up a bit in general, too.

If you don't like episode 4 then you may not like the show but Fisk steals it.

actually I was a we bit disapointed by Fisk. I liked him better at the start, when he was not outside in the open and so engaged with his wife. I really think it is awesome that he has some kind of soft side as well, but no clue. I just thought, this guy is supposed to be a master mind in the end? And I think this I am doing all of this to save Hells Kitchen stuff. A bit to much. Though I really loved his background story. And the fact that not everything was revealed right from the start. Considering the fact that Daredevil had some extensive training over the years with a teacher, I am curious where Fisk got all of his stuff and knowledge from definelty not from a farm or his mother. Maybe they will explore it in the future.

But hey, it was a very good season 1 and he is a decent villain. I am sure we havn't seen the last of him.

Season 2 should give us the Fisk we know. The show very much feels like the origins of the characters. I'm glad they introduced Stick, who was his trainer in he comics. There was a Bullseye easter egg during the show too. I expect either Bullseye, Electra, Gladiator, or the real Owl this next season along with Fisk of course.

His motives were out of character a bit because we have never seen Kingpin before he was Kingpin, at least not to my knowledge. He wasn't even Kingpin in the movie i don't believe.

Yeah, that kinda puzzled me as well, I always expected every minute someone to call Fisk the Kingpin, and now he is simply in jail. Albeit one big reference for is Spiderman the animated series, which had to my knowledge a kingpin that was very different to the comics - a lot more of a typical villain. I am definitely glad that they took this approach in the series though, introducing the character in a very slowly manner and with some motivation giving him still room to grow in Season 2. I hope they will follow the same approach with new villains as well instead of just throwing everything in. Villains just as main characters need their arch. Or it will simply get boring.

What I really would love to see one day is a spiderman series in the same tone like Daredevil. It could make me forget those movies. Just like that abomination with Ben Affleck.

After seeing Daredevil....I kind of want a Moon Knight series, perhaps after the Defenders. He doesn't even need a series, even a cameo would do.....

I do believe there was a passing reference to Marc Spector in the Winter Soldier, with the Zola algorithm having marked "A man in Cairo". I also recall Kevin Feige said Moon Knight is a character that has been discussed on and off for years.

In all honesty, I just want to see Moon Knight #5 Adapted to the silver screen.

Yeah, Moon Knight's pretty cool.
Venom would also be pretty cool as an antihero.
But seriously, the Punisher.

Maybe flesh out the What If? universe in which Frank Castle gets the Venom symbiont and tames it to go on the most epic rampage against crime sadly not shown in comic.

I could speak about this for hours, whether characters are going to appear on a tv show or movie is questionable at the moment, but I have theories.

Blade, Ghost Rider, Moon Knight, and Punisher will all show up in the future. We already had that name drop like Alpha mentioned. Marvel Knights, and Defenders/Heroes for Hire. These teams seem to be aligning at the moment.

It could lead to some cameos from Cumberbatch onto Netflix perhaps? If not then I hope he can spin off into a magical side of the MCU, possibly starting a Phase 4 Midnight Sons event. He won't stick around the Avengers long after Infinity War, probably going off being all mysterious as usual. Since Marvel has the rights to Blade and Ghost Rider it would make sense to use them with Strange in a big event movie.

We know Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist will be in Defenders at the very least, but I figure they might have a little company. Many might not know of Nighthawk, but he was a lesser known Defender. Season Two of Daredevil is being mentioned now. Thinking on how Dc has introduced heroes on other characters shows, I am curious if Marvel might cameo someone of importance there. Someone besides Electra I mean. Ghost Rider is a fairly easy character to do fx for if you use it in brief spurts. He looked good in Spirit of Vengeance, despite it being a shit movie overall. He needs to be done justice, but he doesn't fit the Defenders really. Well, if he was in the fucking Champions I guess he could be in Defenders...

Moon Knight doesn't need a huge budget, he does have his various vehicles, but the less he uses those the better. I guess if they did use Moon Knight in the MCU they could spin off a Secret Avengers movie, but I wonder how the general population would take to another Avengers movie? More of the same maybe? Blade has been done perfect. They can follow that formula and branch out into horror if they play their cards right, which I'm sure are perfectly stacked up until 2025.

With Daredevil they broke into the adult market and actually succeeded. Punisher is the easiest one they can bring into the fold. None of these characters should be wasted on Agents of Shield, even though I like that show, especially after the epic season finale. I would like Moon Knight on Netflix most of all.

So in the grand scheme of things, I would be content with cameos on Netflix for the time being. Maybe big movie type events on Netflix can handle some of these characters that really need a more mature audience. To be fair, all of Marvel's characters can be sanitized down to a PG13.

It should also be mentioned that all of these characters have interacted together numerous times. If Defenders has a few heroes, Defenders 2 (if there is such a thing) might have even more. Seems like they are going more street level though. At least until Strange gets his flick I guess.

The hardest part of Moon Knight is convincing people he isn't a Batman rip off.

That might do it.

Dunno, I think the pacing drags on the 2nd half. If he's not that into it now, I probably wouldn't bother finishing it.

If they adapt the character properly, it won't be an issue. The Batman comparisons only work if you look at a very surface level view of the characters, and skip a few details while you're at it.

To be honest, I can't see Marvel bringing Ghost Rider to Netflix for two reasons:

1.Budget. It would look lame.
2.The Nick Cage movies are still in recent memory.

As for Punisher....I wouldn't want him to get his own series. I actually think he works very well when he's in other super-hero stories, as someone to compare the protagonist to. I think he could have an excellent role in Season 2 of Daredevil, to make both Matt and the Audience think about how far Daredevil is from going over the edge... and becoming like The Punisher.

I don't think they'll approach Blade, either. As the Wesley Snipes movies are very iconic and most people don't even know that Blade is a Marvel character.

Moon Knight however, I could see them doing. Even if it's just a 6 episode mini-series, they could set him up for a role in "Defenders 2". I imagine they would use Mr. Knight for the majority of the series, then pull a Daredevil and give him his white cloak in the final episode. I feel that Moon Knight could act as somewhat of a surrogate for Blade in the MCU, tackling the street-level occult/mystic side, I mean his first appearances were tied with Werewolves, after all. The mental illness aspect also brings a pretty interesting angle.
