Its wierd because alien 3 had a lot of alternate scripts which were feckin amazing. But they went with the one where the movie started with everyone dead.
I recall hearing such, yes.
Shame.

Why didn't they just use that failed FEV expirement thing as their supermutant? Give it a new name.A hypothetical new strain of FEV should not result in Super Mutants who look like orcs and have yellow skin.
They ought to be much different (new type of mutants) or be like Mariposa SMs but with new deformities at least.
Or it may be better to not have a new FEV strain.
I suspect the reason they went with that script had more to do with what the marketing department dictated to be used than anything else. Its wierd because alien 3 had a lot of alternate scripts which were feckin amazing. But they went with the one where the movie started with everyone dead.
I think it's also crazy how rich CEOs of evil pre-war boogeymen companies made their own guns out of toilet roll holders and duct tape... instead of just buying their own guns. Was inflation really that bad?I think it's ridiculous that the Institute has amazing technology and can build synthetic humans so perfectly yet their weapons are complete shit in comparison to Pre-War lasers. Blue lasers apparently don't hurt as much.

And on the topic of inflation, how the hell are two unemployed people raising a baby in Fallout 4's opening? How can they afford a fucking domestic robot? Oh shit I remembered, Bethesda retconned everything so that the pre-war world was the greatest thing ever.
Yeah I member. You mean pipe guns?
Careful, I think I can hear Greed lurking in the vents.
Yeah I member.
Everything in the IP is magic Fallout sauce to them; (because they cannot make any more of it). So they dress their ideas in the misused trappings of Fallout; [Bottle Caps, Supermutants, Enclave, Power Armor, a wrongly perceived 1950's mania, and FEV].Why didn't they just use that failed FEV expirement thing as their supermutant? Give it a new name.
But the failed FEV experiment was a new creation in the game. They had it they just didn't use it. It'd make sense to because the master had refined the FEV to get SMs. So without it being worked on it would produce something like that. They can't ever get it right, because they see wood-chips, and think forest.
By that do you mean a name without 'FEV' in it? If so, that is what I meant. They use the name because it's FEV... "and that's Fallout right? See? Our's has FEV too!"Give it a new name

I do believe they are more inclined to recycle the IP names than to create new ones... or ~heaven forbid, not use one they've paid for.
Not a bad idea... if one ignores the decision to include supermutants [and/or FEV] in FO3. The monster itself didn't look bad.Ii meant give the failed FEV experiment a new name and use them as fallout 3's super mutant.
Greed apparently doesn't understand the game industry. Like... at all. The one thing you DO NOT DO is overtly criticise another company/dev/pub/whatever. Not if you want to continue working in the industry. Chris, Josh, any of them, they're not going to openly rag on Fallout 3/4 because the next game company they might want to work for could well be Bethesda... and oh look, Chris Avellone is working on Prey 2, a Bethesda project. They barely talk about Fallout 4. Avellone doesn't even give his opinion though he's played a bit of it. None of them has really spoken of how Fallout 4 fits the theme, apart from settlement building (which theoretically I like, but doesn't practically work).
Despite said food and energy shortages, riots and New Plague, the common man was able to find time and gather enough materials to create enough guns for everyone in the Commonwealth?
I'm not saying they couldn't make some guns, but the amount found is ridiculous.
A Bethesda product that [again,] has little if anything (or nothing at all) to do with the original game ~sans the name. Yet another reputation piggy-back title from them.... and oh look, Chris Avellone is working on Prey 2, a Bethesda project.
Yeah, he sure is building a civilization to stand the test of time, by modeling it after one of the most spectacularly failed empires on the pre-war world.
Nice going Caesar.

That could work. Make it an unidentifiable new mutant type (among other new mutants). Why didn't they just use that failed FEV expirement thing as their supermutant? Give it a new name.
As I've noted numerous tmes, Greed likes to make up falsehoods and lies to suit its agenda which tends to be Bethesda shilling (of the irrational kind since said shilling often involves nitpicking and putting down other games to make its own 'beloved' games look good, rather than letting said 'beloved' games stand on their own merits).I hate Big C as much as the next guy, but failed empire? wat? Rome is probably the most influencial civilization in the Western world, and one of the longest lasting as well. Modern laws, politics, and military are very heavily influenced by Roman ideas, and the map of Europe to this day is highly influenced by how Romans divided their empire, and/or how their lands were divided it as fell. If you count the Eastern Empire, Rome has stood for nearly two thousand years as a civilization. Even if you only count Western Rome, it still lasted a millenia, much more that can be said for the vast majority of hegemonies.
