Anyway. I am really looking forward to the next Serbian game with Germany. I like both teams a lot and while it would be nice I doubt Serbia has much of a chance to win. But I hope they dont make it easy at least.

Again, Argentina barely managed to qualify and they only qualified because for some retarded reason the Chileans chose to beat Ecuador when they could have eliminated Argentina by losing. Anyways - they are playing like shit so they probably won't get too far. Ma(ra)dona is a shitty coach.

Maybe Italy-Brazil-Portugal-Spain can give us good matches. But I wouldn't count on Italy... unless they were at a pool.
 
I was just talking about games coming up tomorrow and Wednesday. Hopefully Mexico also gives some good matches once Group A starts play again.

They have a few good players though. Quite a lot of them even play in German teams.

Though the game is incredibly boring ... so far the best game was with Germany - Australia. But that was more a massacre.
 
Well, that was about what I expected of Italy. Old, sluggish, sturdy. Still, they can always go far with a bit of luck.

Yeah, that wasn't a good game. It was one side slaughtering the other side.

The best match in quality of football was probably Serbia - Ghana so far, and even that wasn't much. Really disappointing World Cup so far.

As for the Netherlands: disappointing. Denmark did a great job of keeping the play contained, and the Netherlands helped by barely looking for the wings. Van der Vaart especially clogged up the middle of the field by going inside, even though he was probably the most consistently dangerous player on the field for the Netherlands. This should have been corrected by either having Kuijt and Van der Vaart stay wide more, or by having the backs Van der Wiel and Van Bronckhorst be more aggressive, but that didn't happen.

However, winning the game was the most important task. With Robben coming back, hopefully that can add some width and depth to the side.

With a bit of luck and a lot of diving, one must add. 2006's Australia game comes to mind, penalty at 95' untied an 0x0 in Australian detriment. Let's watch them, as they use to progress in an unorthodox manner until the quarters.

Korea is playing soccer ? I expected they might have send some of their Star Craft players eventualy.

Though I would not be surprised if this Cup ends with Brazil vs Germany in the finals. Just this time Germany has a real chance to win. And not like the last time with Ronaldo geting free access to the goal.
