XBone One Fallout 4 Mod Traffic Was Bigger then That Of PC

this will completely ruin the modding scene for Bethesda, and of course for consoles
If Fallout 4 is anything to go by regarding their future gaming design intentions, it's probably for the best.

I wouldn't be surprised if Bethesda are the ones stealing and repackaging the mods in a vain attempt to lure console users into using their shit mod suppository depository.

Well, learning about mod theft, and screwing them up for consoles, sure makes me leery of ever touching any mods when they arrive for the PS4. As for that rant video, meh. I get why he's upset, in fact I support his side in this, yet it's his low-grade name calling I could do without. Calling them retards and faggots? Gross, dude. I would love to see some real policing on Bethesda's part, but I'm not going to hold my breath on it.

(Is it really that difficult to read?)
XBOX PLOX.jpg

I keep seeing this. Mod author saying that an Xbox version is going to be added later and yet xbox users still just ask "When PLZ XboX?"
There is just something especially irritating about giving clear instructions for your mod and then having people ask questions you've already answered.

[edit]

I have yet to find any obnoxious console kiddies throwing a tantrum though. I think that stuff may be blown out of proportion.

I know it's a wrong thread to ask but how to tweak and configure Creation Kit 64 to work on an outdated PC? I mean, CK freezing so often it's impossible to even navigate through.

Well, the guy is responding to the mod thief who blatantly admitted he stole the mod but did so to 'apologize to console users whose saves were fucked up' and 'blame the mod author for being a PC 'elitist' and made a mod that fuckup console users' saves'. Seriously.

Now, now, it seems the problem with mods getting stolen runs deeper, shadier, and more insidious than I initially thought. This picture right below was posted in the Codex

This just make me lose a significant bit of my faith in humanity. Seriously, you blatantly admitted stealing others mods just because the guy didn't allow it to be used for XBone/PS4, and to blame the mod author because said mods fuckup other people's game/saves? :twitch:
Well that's the attitude I would expect from Fallout 4's target audience. "I stole the mod because he's a poopy head PC elitist."

Some of the comments are even worse. They don't seem to understand that modders do not owe anybody anything. It's no wonder Bethesda dumbs down its games and has garbage storytelling when this is their target demographic.

Also about that modder's response video - did you see the glitch/bug where the numbers appear when he shoots enemies? Like in a casual arcade game or Borderlands? I would not be surprised if that is in Fallout 5.

And probably when they are killed in some 'exciting' way they release a fountain of bullets and other goodies (some already release a shower of caps when you kill them and use a certain mod) like in Borderlands and Doom 4.

Come on, what does this have to do with Fallout any more?

Eh, I'm not sure. Iirc, there's a mod for New Vegas that did those number popups like in Borderlands, so there's probably another mod for that for Fallout 4 that the guy used. Also, the video had a crappy fps, dunno if because it was recorded using Xbox One version or because of crappy recorder app, so maybe because of that, I don't know...

Makes you wonder why raiders and mutants don't bash each other heads open if this happened.
Knowing what goodies their fellow raiders or mutants contain it is a lot easier to get ammo, health packs and food this way by bashing their head in when they least expect it.

Well, I did say I took his side on the matter, save for his use of homophobic remarks and other childish name calling. I'm sorry, that stuff is high school level garbage, and nothing justifies that. If he wants to call out bad behavior, even shame the person for it, I'm fine with that.

You joke about it, but one of ZeniMax's board member's Robert S. Trump, Donald Trump's brother.
I don't think that is true. I haven't seen anything that links Trump to ZeniMax nor does it say he has a brother. The name could be a coincidence. Its not like Trump is an uncommon last name. Anyway, back on topic about Bethesda shitting in the face of their bread and butter and the entitlement of console kiddies.

I hate to link Kotaku but this kinda hints at the direction Bethesda is going to take their games from here on out: http://www.kotaku.com.au/2016/06/xb...raffic-was-50-times-bigger-than-pc-at-launch/

This tweet from Bethesda is quite telling: https://twitter.com/BethesdaStudios/status/738068150156156929

Fuck me.
You know what ? If Xbox "modders" are just stealing mods from the nexus, this could lead to two very plausible scenarios :
1 - the nexus modders get tired of it and give up on modding Fallout 4, to focus on New Vegas and Skyrim which both require less ductape to fix AND they both have an already established grateful audience. Seriously, what computers could handle heavy scripts and HD retextures for Fallout 4 anyway ? The game is already very demanding as it is. My computer can handle Witcher 3 or Mad Max at 60FPS, but I could cook an egg on it when it launches Fallout 4 at 40 fps. Seriously. It's the only game I'm genuinely afraid to launch during summer, so I really hesitate to heavily mod it, and I can't be the only one.
2 - the best nexus modders go GUNetwork all the way and share their mods in private circles. You know, like Dragbody, who is probably the best "models & textures" modder there is. Imagine if Someguy (New Vegas Bounties), Elianora (pretty much all the player houses in the files of the months) or Kristakahashi (Vincent Vincent, Interesting NPCs) did the same ? And honestly, who could blame them, if Bethesda.net hosts stolen mods ?

Either way, bad news for the modding community Bethesda relies on to make their game profitable on the long term. Oh well. At least, the loverslab cooks have amazing script skills and know that their mods couldn't possibly be posted anywhere else, so there's that.
