You're being rude.

Hitler not being Christian himself (which I never said he was) doesn't mean that there was outstanding issues between him and Christians. The Nazis never imprisoned anyone for being a Christian. The church cooperated very well with the Nazis, in Germany as well as many occupied countries.

But of course, if his former enemies tell the then-overwhelmingly Christian population of Europe that this evil they just vanquished with their unparalleled heroism wanted to destroy Christianity as a whole, then it certainly must be so.

Tell me, if your lack of faith in a Religion makes you so much more intelligent, you must be more intelligent than Socrates, Plato, Aristotle who all believed in either the Greek Gods or at least some higher form of life and the "soul". Nicholas Copernicus, Sir Francis Bacon, Galileo Galilei (he believed that his foundings were in fact supported by the Bible), Blaise Pascal, Isaac Newton, Gregor Mendel, and Albert Einstein must be especially stupid compared to you because they all believe in that "utterly ridiculous fairytale" God. But please, oh wise one, tell me how much atheism has contributed to western culture. Tell me about how we'd all be living in a space age society if it wasn't for those "evil book burning christians".

Give me evidence of a magic man in the sky. I want to see evidence of God. Its ridiculous. He does not exist. Its absurd.
There is a lack of solid evidence. The only things you have to prove his existence is a bunch of people who had near death experiences and claimed to be saved by angles, who were probably high at the time or attention seeking.
Watch the epic stephen fry takedowns, he epicly takes down religions.

Oh no you don't. You earlier made disparaging remarks towards Ragemage based on the fact that he believed in a God. You specifically said "A religious person has told me to talk sense. I have officially seen everything." implying that Religious people are somehow intellectually inferior. And so I responded to that claim and very quickly and swiftly proved that false. Don't shurg it off and start moving the goalpost to try and save face.
If you really want to discuss Theology and it's validity I suggest you make a thread about it. As fun as it would be I have no desire to further derail this thread with deep Theological discussion that has very little to do with the thread topic.
 
Okay people, back to the subject or else I am closing this.
I don't know which topic already exists about religion vs atheism but this is not it.

There's a distinct difference between propagating a personality cult and trying to make yourself into a god. Stalin and Mao were attempting to annihilate religion because it didn't fit in well with their ideologies, not because they thought they were gods. The Soviets didn't force anyone to pray to General Secretary Stalin before they went to sleep, Communists didn't hold out hope for Mao letting them into heaven.

Of all the "communists" I think Kim Il-sung and his successors are the only ones who take the whole cult of personality so far as to actually become godheads.
Although Stalin had quite a bit of a cult around him, the Korean "Juche" took it the furthest.
Speaking of which, the Best Korean leaders are probably my favourite politicians. The amount of madness is just staggering.
