That's why counterfeit books are so big here. You find people selling those in every stoplight.
And that isn't even a joke. Books are still pretty expensive in here. It's almost like they want to keep us uneducated and outdated.
There was a time where COmicbooks and Graphic novels were also really expensive because they were categorized as Pronography and had a tax.
Technology is only expensive here because of some rather arbitrary taxes.
The Devaluation of the Colombian Peso to comical levels in december hasn't helped this any.
It's cheaper to buy things from Amazon and ship them as personal items to colombia than it is to buy them on a store...
Everything in Colombia is cheap.... except for electronics, they usually cost double in here.
So like, they actually released fat barbies? Man, gotta love having those first world problems.
