    I am having fun with Dark Souls 2, but I still feel that there are a lot of negative changes compared to the first game.

    Been watching TNG for the past few weeks. And I get now why people didn't like those JJ movies, I didn't like them either but I just assumed they were probably the same as the tv series. While ST TNG isn't high art and has extreme cheesiness to it, the plots were more contemplatitive in nature, they weren't Space cowboys.

    Hell, even tho they are part of the Space Navy or whatever the organization doesn't even seem that Military oriented, more like scientific expeditions than big yelling matches with exploding planets everywhere. Granted I am only on the first season, this might change.

    Deep space nine has a big war story arc and it still manages to remain hopeful and contemplative while being dark and "realistic" when it needs to be. The dominion war is one of the coolest and best trek eras imo. Even during a war Starfleet never really becomes militarily oriented and is more focused on ending it as quickly as possible.

    Getting to the Bosses is really hard in Dark Souls 2, but the bosses themselves have all been super easy, all killed in 1 try so far.

    I mean, I just had the Quelaag Fury Sword from the second I unlocked Anor Londo, I only swaped between it and the Iaito when I fought undead enemies. I crafted it so my Scimitar +10 had an use after I went to get the Iaito.

    Welp, I just beat Dark Souls. The 4 kings went down on my first try today and the final boss only took me 3 tries. Now onto DS2

    Your design is not modular, that's why everytime you add or remove anything it goes crazy and has to be adjusted from the CSS, so this design you are proposing has too many uneven shapes intersecting each other, which can be done but it's gonna result in that issue again

    I am a Low Vit Dex build, I don't really do well with Heavy Armor on a boss battle.
    Will try the Atomic Postman tip, that I didn't know and could've saved me last time.

    So in Dark Souls 2 and 3 the level up system is like in Bloodborne then? No longer done on every bonfire but from an NPC?

    Yes, Dark Souls is the only one that doesn't have the NPC leveler actually. Demon's Souls has it too.

    Except in ds2 instead of playing the NPCs monologue over the level up screen like in demons souls they make you listen to it before you can level up because ds2 does literally everything worse.

    Trying Sonic Mania again... i just don't get the appeal of classic Sonic games. The level design is really terrible and mostly about memory.

    Sometimes the game itself makes you stop and pixel hunt for the exit because progress ks hidden behind arbitrary means, like a descending plataform that is the only way to go through the floor platform to continue on. Level design is at odds with the controls and the premise.
