So FEV in this game is essentially this:

At this rate, every nu-Fallout fan will assume that everything in Fallout was part of a grand cartoonish conspiracy.

Next Fallout game that has Super Mutants will claim that the new region has Super Mutants of a different strain because the Sugar Bombs cereal supply was laced with a prototype version of FEV secretly provided by West Tek for experiments.

All right all right never mind how West-Tek got the FEV to WV and decided it was a splendid idea to dump it into the river.
What I wanna know is how the ever living fuck FEV that has been LITERALLY WATERED DOWN could possibly turn people into super mutants.

I mean, Bethesda doesn't get to go "oh new strain" this time. If West-Tek did this with their strain then it means it'll probably be a lot like the Mariposa strain which means that for someone to turn into a super mutant you need to fucking dip the person in it.

As stupid as the West-Tek dumping FEV into a river thing is at the very least it could explain some of the milder yet still crazy mutations happening over time. But nope, super mutants. From drinking traces of FEV.

The amount of lore fuckery in this thing... It's a crime against art and I think the IP should be forcibly removed from Bethesda/Zenimax' possession. Jesus H Christ...

Well, they already had gas FEV that works by being inhaled in Fallout 3, now they have very liquid FEV that people can drink. Next it will be solid FEV that people can eat. :lmao:

A Tabitha clone perhaps. ;) My original post used "super-mutates the Y...", but I changed it because that wasn't the true intent.

Dumb hypothetical question that came in my mind, what if Fallout 76 did have a single player mode with non hostile/friendly NPCs, and quests including (ugh) the radiant ones (because Beth sure as hell would not all custom make them)
Would people here have been more interested in Fallout 76?

I already seen a topic of porting Fallout 76 into Fallout 4. It would still require a lot of after modding.

If that were the case, and if Bethesda decided to sell it on steam, I *might* be curious enough to consider picking it up during a sale. Although even then, it would basically just be Fallout 4 but in West Virginia, which I would have very little interest in.

Perhaps I could get past its gameplay because it is a spin off, and not a series sequel, but I am not generally interested in multiplayer games; less so in multiplayer RPGs, and not at all in a multiplayer Fallout game. I think it's a hands down lose for them [with me], regardless of what they do to spruce it up.

*Perhaps with one exception: That they change out the combat mechanics for those of Superhot.

Damn, I forgot where the post is or who posted it (if you read this please give me your username so I can add this) but someone brought up how Fallout 76 lore even conflicted with Bethesda's Fallout 3. That a century before Fallout 3 the BOS already encountered Super Mutants on the East Coast (so why would the BOS be surprised about them in Fallout 3 or Fallout 1 for that matter? if anything Vree would probably mention that the corpse the BOS patrol found looks surprisingly much like the mutants the Virginia chapter have been figthing) or the appearance of the Enclave, an organization with access to Pre War technology and even some new tech (pretty sure that the Virginia group will have Enclave power armor despite that I think it was not even developed yet, let alone how the Virginia group is suppose to make it. There is a complete factory assembly line in that bunker, complete with foundries and the other manufacturing equipment to manufacture plastics, rubber, etc?)
Yeah yeah I know, Enclave Power Armor already existed before the War.

The BOS would know all of this stuff and would not be surprised at all any more in Fallout 1 and 2.

Well the Virginia chapter were a bunch of losers as they all end up dead before Fallout 76 takes place (the player encounters no living members)

Honestly this is bullshit writing, why even bother trying to integrate it with the rest of Fallout?

I know I spend way to much energy, thought, and time into this. I will be glad when this thing has become a part of forgotten history once the serves go down.

So you gonna buy it?

Nope, I don't like multiplayer games in general (there are some good ones), and I don't want Bethesda's crappy service on my computer.

Recently I even resisted buying Fallout 4 when it was on sale. It kept bothering me that I never finished that game but remembering how bad my experiences were during the game, bad dialogue, terrible characters, not to mention what a bunch of dicks the die hard Bethesda fans are (not all Bethesda fans, just the ones who will praise everything regardless of its quality), made me realize once again that I do not want to give Bethesda any of my money.

I rather spend it on buying books or new additions to my Mega Construx collection.

Honestly, if 76 was another single player, fun for about 20 hours, Bethsoft romp to kill sometime, I'd be more forgiving. But their desire to have it be an buy the numbers loot n shoot, it's a pass for me.

I will admit to just how bad the lore is gonna be borked over this. Because Bethsoft HAD to include the BoS, Enclave and Super Mutants, not only does it cause sever lore problems for FO1 and 2, but Beths own FO3. Lyons mentions fighting the Vault 87 Super Mutants for 20 years since they arrived in the Capital Wasteland.

OMG, this game is going to suck soooo baaaaad, even as an MMO.

The only glimmer of hope for this game is going to be as a base engine for heavily modded private servers. And even then.

Seriously, don't buy it as it is.

Wait, what? According to the video above, one of the quests involves the Brotherhood actually wasting time chasing after a random couple?

Yeah I've been reading about that. How the hell do you mess up so badly that you accidentally delete the game? I'm no programmer but damn, I imagine this is a big ol' mess.
