Baldur's Gate III

Witcher 3's optimization and voice acting are pretty much the only positives one can bring up.

I don't know which one is the shooter game. One of the CoDs?

Just kinda funny :

Just you wait, Cyberpunk 2077 will probably be bigger than CoDMW remake.
I'm not into shooters, what game is the top image from?

Yes, it's the remake of Call of Duty Modern Warfare. Notoriously taking over your hard drive space like it's a new frontier and it has a Manifest Destiny.

Yeah, the guys behind it must have gotten quite lazy.

For me - even though I've played Destiny 2 and Warframe - anything that goes into the AAA space is instant ''nope.''

Occasionally I am still mildly interested but I have not seen anything that really jumps out for me.
In particular not regarding sci-fi shooters or action-rpgs or rpgs.
I know there are a couple of "big ones" in development but these days I feel more like focusing on one or two titles than several, so when I pick up a game it really has to be something I want to play from start to the finish.

Pretty much in the same boat...

Warframe recently got another update, and I have to say that the story elements(and how rare it is to get story elements in WF!) are rather good. Those guys can do something decent if they put their heads to it, but unfortunately that came after nearly half of an year of the players complaining about stuff.

All in all, though, for people with working brain condition the AAA space is generally just boring. Five minutes of fun and then you have to get out of there. Not worth the money.

I've been playing alot of Divinity Original Sin and I am very much looking forward to the full release of this. This is probably the best turn based combat I've experienced except for some moments in Jagged Alliance 2 modded.

i really feel bad for the baldurs gate fans. they are gonna be in the same situation fallout fans were in 2007.

At least they are going from RTwP to Turn based?? I mean Fallout fans got a remake of the first two main quests but mashed together and more about your dad who left your ass in a Vault without telling you a thing in a game that was more like Oblivion than turn based/RTwP RPGs. Pretty drastic change. I feel like BG3 may be a bit more tolerable to fans of the originals than Fallout 3 was initially to original Fallout fans.

Wouldn't know though, could not get into BG1 and 2. Too much RTwP combat without much else catching my attention. I'd rather just start with 3 at this point as it seems more my style. If you're making a combat heavy game or combat focused one and are using a RPG system, I cannot do it with RTwP. Planescape Torment was fine for obvious reasons.

If people really wanted RTwP they would have bought the Pillars games. They were fine and if you don't think so you are the problem. This won't be BG3 but it will be close enough.

It was a good game, but it didn't turn me on. Kinda like that he-pussy. It just doesn't smell right. Works great, it's well polished...but it ain't for me.

No. This will be a Dragon-age clone given turn based mechanics; not built upon the BG foundation, and just as wrong as a turn based Planescape:Torment, turn based Wasteland, or a realtime Fallout.

Dragon Age clone? Not at all. It looks like a Larian game which it is.

I am only going by the released media trailers. I have not played any beta of it.

*But this is what I have seen; effectively a DragonAge clone—aside from combat.

IMO it should have had enhanced BG2 mechanics, and not have looked too far removed from something like this:

That's not necessarily a bad thing. I liked the Larian games.

I am not expecting a "true" Baldurs Gate Sequel here anyway. For me Baldurs Gate ended with Throne of Bhaal. It was the story of the Bhaal spawn and that's finished. So what's the point anyway? As long as it's a decent RPG I will be satisfied. And I think Laran can deliver on that.

Basically. I really wish I didn't have to hear about space hamsters this time though.
