Bethesda announces another E3 press conference

We'll see how much pride does for Todd and Emil when Zenimax is breathing down their necks asking for metacritic scores to be least 8.5, at penalty of not being able to buy another Beach house with the review bonus.

Oh come on guiz, the reason they go for that score for a royalty bonus is because they wanted to give Obsidian an incentive to bring out the best of the best. It's not Bethesda's fault that Obsidian wasn't good enough.

Jesus, Hillary Clinton looks like she's a Melange abuser now.
Anyway isn't it customary that developers get the royalty bonus even if they're off mark by a couple of points? I thought that was what the whole controversy was about, Bethesda acting like dicks and not Bethesda acting like suits.

Royalty is awarded if you meet the criteria. The problem here is that Obsidian was off by 1 point. Most reviews happen early on when the game has just been released. And FNV was buggy as all hell when it was released. And that was Bethesda's fault. They're the ones responsible for why it failed to reach the score. They were responsible for quality assurance, they could delay the game a month or so, they could extend the release date at any point they wanted to. They chose not to.

They chose to release the game, knowing how buggy it was, and reviewers criticized the bugs of Obsidian because from what I've seen a lot of reviewers have some sort of bias against Obsidian because of their history of bugs in games. Score is lower because of it. Obsidian fails to meet the criteria by one measly point. Bethesda doesn't give them royalties.

The criteria behind the royalties and shit is fine to me. It's a bonus, not something you're entitled to. I've already paid you what I had to to get this shit done, the only way I'm paying you more is if it is so successful that you deserve a bonus. Some publishers decide on this early on. Creating a criteria that have to be met.

Obsidian failed to meet the criteria and they failed because of Bethesda. And despite that, Bethesda has the gall to go "nu-uh! you're off by one point!!".

Fuck Bethesda with a rusty baseball bat.

I wonder if Bethesda will give them their bonus when the fans called them Beth out for their game being shit.

So I gotta ask everyone here man. WILL THEY MAKE ANOTHER FALLOUT?! OR AT LEAST PRESENT ONE AT E3 2016?! God I'm just fiending for another Obsidian Fallout.

Of course not. They probably announce another couple of sequels to licenses they hold as well as remakes and probably the last of those Fallout 4 DLCs they are obligated to make since they increased the price on their season pass for.

I am pretty sure one of them at least will be more 'stuff' for the settlement system. (heh mostly likely Vault, Institute, and Pre War architecture and items. Things you can already get in a fan made mod)

The other will probably be an Automatron style DLC, breeding our own mutants.

Run the Institute in our new DLC, SYNTHCRAFT!

Meh I think you give them too much credit.

Anyway, they will probably announce another pack of DLCs or something along those lines.

Or if we are really lucky they will announce tes 6 then ruin it and then go bankrupt.

Ech what a great thing would it be.

They already did, it's called Oblivion and Skyrim.

Oh yeah, you are right. That said I had more fun with Skyrim than I had with Farcryout 4 period.

Skyrim wasn't a good game either but it gave me some sort of fun when I run around as a werewolf.

Skyrim is a great game for passing time. Don't really take it seriously, just wander around occasionally hitting people. It's impressive how fast time flies by. And it's a great modding platform.

I will agree that Skyrim can be fun with mods and to pass the time on a lazy and rainy Satuday afternoon but the vanilla game itself leaves little to the imagination which is my main beef with Skyrim despite having fun with the game.
