Bethesda E3 Showcase Tonight, Stream Links

The Bethesda fanboys there were really Reddit-tier and they really overhyped most of the E3 conference. YYYEAAAH Woah a dog! Woah VATS! WOAH NUKA COlA!! Woah you can play as a girl! What else is new?
I do understand some of the cheering though, that Pipboy Edition looks badass and I've always wanted them to do something like that. And that weapon crafting system looks amazing.

Maybe you should wonder why getting to play as a female has to be such a big fucking deal in the first place. Oh, that's right -- because you couldn't do it for fucking ages and still can't on most games, and because white-male protagonists are dramatically over-represented in an entertainment media shared by a way more diverse audience base.

Don't a lot of big name publishers sometimes pay popular and well known YouTube personality's to praise and hype their games? Talk about selling your soul.
 
I dout he got paid for it. He just has the same opinion as the mass. Altho he does seem worried about the voiced protagonist and the dialogue wheel but sees no problem with the removal of Skills....
 
That the game just became a generic FPS where you unlock perks every level instead of building up your character like in an rpg? THis combined with the 4 button layout means we wont be getting much in the way of skill checks and alternate dialogue options to solved quests beyond a generic "charm" option.
 
You're still "building up your character like in an rpg," you're just doing it with bars instead of percentages, or however they decide to implement it. Not really much different.
 
The real crime here is what happens with intelligence: in the slide it says intelligence increases your XP gained, right? But if enemies level with you then gaining xp is bad, which will turn intelligence into a dump stat if it has no other role...
 
No, Skill increases unlocked Perks that had unique effects and special dialogue options that generated special responses from NPCs and even allowed to skip parts of a quest.
 
Is it safe to assume that "traits" as well are axed or non existent? I'll miss them, I loved the "some good/some bad aspects" reminded me of old World of Darkness PnP.
 
Man. The more I hear the worse it gets. Essential companions? Do they have hardcore mode or do they want to coddle the players until they fall asleep?
