Cabot House (SPOILERS)

I like it.

It's just another reason why Fallout 4 ain't a Fallout game. I can point towards this to anyone trying to defend Fallout 4 as a Fallout game and no matter what they say it is automatically invalid. This is the win argument folks. Fallout was already ruined, all we needed was that final piece of the jigsaw puzzle. We can point towards this as the final nail in the coffin and not a single damn apologist can ever explain it away. We're never getting Fallout back while it is in Bethesda's hands, so at best we an just look for something that invalidates their work as Fallout games and this is it.

I like it.

Even worse, Cabot then tells you that he might go travel the south west, because he heard that there might be a giant alien city under the Mojave...
Now that's how a company flips off another company.

:freak: Why.... why destroy something I love and hold dear Bethesda? You monsters! RIP Fallout 1997-2010 :rip:

Bethesda is just so freaking schizophrenic with their tone and theme. One minute they try to do this grim dark, gritty and sad tone and theme then in the next minute they do this goofy, wacky and outrageous shit that feels like something off a Saturday morning cartoon. Its so baffling.

Schizophrenic is right. It's so random and tries to cater to every person possible. And miserably failing.

The only bad part of this quest is that you couldn't get the psychic powers from the guy

No? There's always a little weirdness here and there in the fallout series about aliens and psychic powers, it's not big deal.

I just hope there's no Mothership Zeta-like DLC for F4

Wanted to post this for anyone who's completed the Cabot House quest and would like to comment on the content contained within. Total plot spoilers behind the tag so don't read unless you don't care.

Lorenzo Cabot discovered an ancient alien artefact in the Middle-East (think he said Syria or Sumeria or something) that grants him psychic abilities and the rest of the Cabots have been drawing blood from him to use in a serum to keep make them young... for over 400 years.

I literally don't know what to think, I was just sat there dumbfounded as the quest continued at what I was hearing. What has this got to do with Fallout honestly, that ancient aliens created the human race is now a thing apparently. The artefact does exist and it does grant him so weird blast attack thing so it's true to that extant. Possibly the most inane thing that they've ever added. Anyone else played this shit.

I just started that quest and the second he said "ancient aliens" I stopped and went to do other things.

Every time I give this game a chance it does something like this. This is just pathetic. I hate ranting repeatedly about how bad Fallout 4 is but at this point can one even help it?

Who wrote Fallout 4? One of the developer's children?

If someone got the time could you give me a word by word detailed description of the entire event so I can fully embrace the lore being torn to shreds?

Hey, if you can't beat them, join them! I'll even show you where to find a bowler hat for Codsworth.

So, what shall it be? Do you join the fun or do you die like the lore? Join. Die!
