Fallout 4 coming out on November 10, free mobile spin-off out now

They didn't. Removing redundant and useless skills and adding strenght and other requirements si the Right form of streamlining, it's not dumbing down.

Yeah. I hope STR reqs on weapons are back in FO4. It's one of those things that makes your character build important. OTOH in Skyrim you can be the jack of all trade basically from the get-go...

That T60 piece of shit is bothering me tbh.

T45 = PoS PA, prototype, yada yada

T51B = GLORIOUS PA. BEST PA EVER. US APPROVED.

T60 = Modernized T45 (at least looks like one). WAIT WHAT? Why would they modernize a PoS when they have a good thing? Unless if the T60 is BEFORE the T51, of course. Or is the T60 a factory mod to make T45s up to the standard of a T51?

Totally! Everything else is just worthless piece of metal, including rocket-propelled PA invented by Todd.

Original APA for the win. I'm very happy to see it included in Fallout 4, and I don't think I've seen a glimpse of the terrible new APA from Fallout 3.

To utilize existing production lines ?

Ever heard of retooling?

It also has a prototype name. (X01) My fav is the APA MK. II personally. (which also exists. X01 MK. II)

Also, PA better be heavy in FO4.

50 pounds? whhhaaat?

Modern day combat armor that Armies wear is 50 pounds. You wanna tell me PA is as heavy as that?

I hope power armour's not even carryable in FO4. Not without some form of mechanical assistance, anyway, like a trolley or a forklift.

It takes time and resources, and can be very inefficient until you gain experience..

Also judging from what we seen, the new armor appear to be more modular and sturdy, and equipped with a jet pack. It would be more useful to small rapid response air units, than the 51 that is used by regular infantry.

Other than that, we will have to wait and see the lore rational for the 60.

yes it looked terrible, but since it was an older bulkier model for the 51 It was fine.

I'm willing to guess the T-60 is made by the institute, in similar fashion to how the Enclave engineered its advanced power armours. It's really not all that much of a lore break for me.

I wonder if there's going to be tesla armour, though?

I think it is carryable. They showed how the player wears it (you know, that fancy animation of PA opening and player getting inside) and he was just standing somewhere in the wastes.

Good point about the jet pack thing. I thought JP was optional and didn't come with the T60. Also, I think after WW2 [which happened in FO], we can all safely assume that the US has the experience to retool. Also, all PA is modular in those videos.

IF it works like that, then I can see it working. (you know, Institute mod)

However the trailer video has pre war US Army soldiers in T60.

Maybe you get the most basic power armor in a quest, then can bring it home, wearig it. There you can modify it with parts you find in the wasteland, and it basically works like a car or rather, mech.

I proposed this on Bethsoft forums a while ago, but someone said that Bethesda's logic is that if you can see it, you can loot it.

So yeah, anyone who's dead in a PA can be looted, thus, early PA. :\
:/

That was the case in F3, but you couldn't wear it until later in the game.

btw. I started wondering, what's the main quest in this game. Like, you come out from the vault, go check on your house, meet the robot, take the dog and... what's next?
