Fallout 4 DLC revealed

I'm getting the feeling that I should be avoiding Fallout 4. Which is a shame seeing as it's one of the very few reasons I would invest in a PS4

It shouldn't surprise you that you get a heavily anti-Fallout 4 vibe from this place - this is where people on the Internet who are disgruntled with the game are most likely to congregate, myself included.

You might enjoy it, there are plenty of people who sincerely do. But it's a very low quality game and I regret wasting money on it. I don't know how bad the performance issues are on the PS4, but they're allegedly horrific on the Xbone.

Well until I can afford a ps4 and can get the game pre-owned I'll just stick to 3 and New Vegas

I would argue people have convinced themselves they're enjoying it because of how hyped they were for it beforehand and because of the $60+ they spent on it. Nobody enjoys the game "sincerely".

Yeah I think I'll wait until I can get both the console and game reasonably cheap before playing it. Chances are Fallout 5 or the new Obsidian Fallout will be out before I get a chance to play 4

Save your money. Spend it on a better game or copious amounts of alcohol. Both are superior investments.

Thing is, it's just about how much you love the Fallout franchise.

People who only played FO3 think it is fantastic. At the time, I was one of them. Then I played New Vegas, loved it even more. And then I tried my hand at the originals, and you can't help but think "wow, FO3 is shit", because it went against everything the Fallout franchise stood for. Same thing happened to me going from Skyrim to Morrowind.

Unless you really, really, really love Fallout and can't help but notice FO4's flaws as a Fallout game, I would probably recommend it. Even though I have not played it myself, settlement building is kewl and as a FPS-exploration game I'm sure it must be entertaining.

I am a little curious how the mechanist made it to Boston after I emptied a plasma rifle into his face.
The number of "characters" that you are *not allowed* to do this to in Fallout 4 is insulting.

At this rate Fallout 5 is going to be a linear campaign with cutscenes everywhere in the spirit of Call of Duty where only the developers decide how the story unfolds.

@ Alixian, who cares, then buy some chocolate or (nuka) cola ;-)
Those DLC's looks like free mods/trash even more than Hearthfires is for Skyrim... Far Harbor would be cool I guess, if not for Bugthesda's award winning writing..

EDIT: People thinking Far Harbour might be good need to remember it will still have the dialogue system.

Fuck! Thanks a lot for reminding me :yuck:. Nevermind then, I'm back to wallowing in bitterness about Obsidian not being confirmed for making the next Fallout yet.

Why buy Fallout 4 when you can buy three 750ml bottles of Everclear? Add on two bottles for the price of the DLC. Guaranteed better fucked up times.

Playing Fallout 4 was like watching Michael Bay's Transformers. It had its fair share of impressive spectacles, but once you sit down and think about anything that was in it really, you get a headache.

If there is a Fallout by Obsidian or someone else planned, it probably won't be announced before the release of Far Harbor. Maybe Bethesda will follow the Fallout 4 announcement schedule and have the next Fallout game be announced not long before release. If Obsidian announces something that is not Fallout before then, then Obsidian will probably not be working on a Fallout game.

I find the correlation between "essential" NPC's and how annoying they are pretty trollish in nature.

Even worse when they're assholes to you...until you open the console and set them to unessential. I swear why do NPA(non playable assholes) like Marcy fucking Long exist? She always complains, looks like a shovel beat that face in, and is a waste of space in place of a character that isn't as pointless and stupid as a cardboard cutout.
