Fallout 4 gameplay videos leaked, Bethesda starts taking them down

Here is me killing a Behemot with low level weapons. I left the mic on without realizing it so there is some sound from a Podcast. This is from my test character so we know about the game beforehand. The real playthrough is being worked on right now. Still playing on Hard.

They even took localized damage and when you get a crippled limb it heals on it's own after a couple of seconds.... "Hardcore".

I have been experiencing a weird bug with VATS where it just ends on it's own without me actually excuting atacks. At first it just happened once, but now it's been happening often when fighting Mutants.

It's because of the Power Armor.

So Far I'll say this:
The story is better than the one in Fallout 3. The settlements seem to have taken cues from New vegas and are now more interconnected and have more interesting stories than on 3.
The main factions are also varied, I even like the way the DC BOS has become and the idea of rebuilding the Minutemen as an endgame path is interesting. I still haven't gotten in contact with the Institute but I like the concept of them.

The problems of story mostly come from the quality of the dialogue, the dumbing down of the system and well the fact that quests are overly rigid and don't offer pacifist routes. So, again, they have good ideas and have taken cues on how to improve their stories, but they are still Bethesda and they always aim for maximum gratification little effort stories.

Those are pieces from one of thos Pedal Swan Boats. When you loot him you can take them, they give ceramic or plastic, I don't remember.

And yeah, the Powerfist looks like grabage. Like all the other weapons...

So,judging from what i've seen and heard ingame. It seems that Bethesda has taken the interesting things from Tactic's Brotherhood, the airships and the fascist feudal lord thing, and incorporated it into the East Coast Brotherhood?

Wow so this is what people do with mods, good to know more about what audience Bethesda seems to cater to. Someone made a mod replacing nukes with baby Shaun.

Awesome, though I wish it had some baby-sounds thrown in, hearing that screaming become more quiet the further it moves away ...

Ok so I finally got the Institute and I think I just started the last rush before the end.

Shaun doesn't really look like me or the mother beyond the Skin color, they also made the same trick or mistake they made with James in FO3 of giving him a beard and thus just making him look basically the same as other Shauns I've seen on videos. Synth boy Shaun kept my Red hair from the beginning despite me changing it so that's kind of neat. But he still doesn't really look like me. Which is disappointing because I wanted to see him fat and with a double chin.

The institute was working with FEV so they made the Super Mutants of the Commonwealth. So yeah, now everybody and their mother will have strains of FEV it seems. The cure is experimental and the dude told me to wait a week to see the results so we'll see how facepalm worthy it is.

I was able to kill Father on the first meeting so that's interesting, wonder what would've changed if I kept going. I stored a save just for that later.

I started the BOS and Minutemen End paths, because the Railroad are lame.

All quests have repeating kill quests for you to farm Exp. I was even told to clear Corvega's factory again, the Brotherhood has some "convince farm to gives food" quests... but both sent me to the same farm so those are obviously also to farm exp.

I have no idea how to set up Trade routes and I took both Local Leader perks.... Game doesn't even give you a hint on how to do it, so I might need to check a guide for that later.

That's it for today.

Are you playing on PC Walpknut? So they lied about the son keeping features from both of parents' facial features? If so I was hoping to see what FATHER would of looked like with his mother's features from my current playthrough lol.

I think it's because of the beard and hairdtyle. The mos prominent features of my character are on his mouth and chin region which are obviously covered by the beard. They should've at least make him bald and fat.

Institute is capable of creating synths. It'd make sense if they figured out how to cure baldness. Unless there is another Institute character which is bald, in which case this is just lazy.

I also just found out that I can save and quick save during conversations. You can save scum conversations so fucking easily....

Oh, but they didn't like that with companions dying so expect dialogue save-scumming to be a thing of the past in the future.

So they went back for the old percentage based speech checks... Although it's not a big thing, I personnally prefered New Vegas way of doing it. While I'm at it, how do the charisma checks work? Are there a lot of them and do they have important consequence on the experience like in New Vegas?

It would be great if soneone did a detailled review of Fallout 4 on Youtube. The video might...possibly...in a certain manner... enlighten the Bethdrones who watch it for more than 30 seconds. Not that I have anything against Bethesda.

Nah, Charisma chcks are usually just placebos. They either give you some experience or help you get more money from quests. None of them really open any branching paths in quests and there isn't a single quest with a pacifist route. Even quests about building stuff needs you to clear the are of hostiles.
