Fallout 4 gameplay videos leaked, Bethesda starts taking them down

So I just saw a Legendary enemy "mutate", so they just flat out ripped off Borderlands then.

How did they "mutate"?
Textbox popped up in the corner of the screen, said it mutated and it regained all lost health, followed by the streamer going "god damnit!" like he knew what that meant so I take it that that will happen occasionally to enemies. The enemy was a Blood Bug so its petite form along with the bad stream quality made it difficult to see if its appearance had changed.

[edit]

So, Fallout 3 was pretty much Oblivion With Guns, but Fallout 4 is not just Skyrim With Guns, it obviously has other influences as well. What games does it look like Fallout 4 has taken inspiration from in total? Borderlands is an obvious one. Same with Destiny going by this post: http://www.nma-fallout.com/showthre...ng-them-down&p=4089251&viewfull=1#post4089251 I also remember ya'll talking about how the memory accessing stuff was very Remember Me-esque.

Is that how mutation works though :wtf:

Wish their gameplay would not always be so bland. % Increase in damage, mutation gives the enemy health back - yaaay for RNG! I thought people actually wanted to get rid of skills because they HATED this randomness? Now they make a come back with stuff like mutations and senseless criticals form strange perks ...

I guess the Toddler played some Final Fantasy the other day and in the next meeting he was like, "Yeah, but, like, what if IT WASN'T EVEN HIS FINAL FORM?" and lo and behold, so it was done.

Like I said, feels a lot more like Borderlands to me. In it there are enemies that are Badass ranks that can turn into uh... Super Badasses? I don't remember the next rank but yeah, you shoot at them for a while and if RNG works in their favor they just decide to randomly rank up and regain all their health for no particular reason. It works in Borderlands because that setting isn't exactly taking itself all too seriously. It's not like you down it to 10% of its health and 'then' it decide to rank up. The Blood Fly or whatever the fuck it was that I saw is called had like 70% health left and just decided to rank up out of nowhere. And with the perks now resembling Borderlands' skill system I'd say Borderlands is the inspiration for this.

I guess you're right, the Toddler does not play classic games or take inspiration from them. Especially not if they're turnbased!

Is Arthur Maxson the elder of Commonwealth BoS chapter? If so isnt he a bit young like 20 years old or something?

They took inspiration from Assassin's Creed as well, does "relive your ancestor's memories from your DNA" bring up some similarities? You need some device from Kellogg's Cornflakes to access some memories.

I didn't even realize that but you are right, but then again Bethesda borrows from Borderlands, Call of Duty, (Destiny?), all AAA titles beloved by many fucktards.
But they are still pissed Fallout is not Post Apocalypse GTA so guess what Fallout 5 is going to be like.

You take forums way to seriously

Would it be insulting to tell you that you should get a life instead of telling us that we should get a life?

I have not watched much streams so could you guys explains me how character interaction, writing and quests design are right now? That would be appreciated.

So you went through all the trouble to post on here to stop taking a game seriously and to get lives. Yet you're the one taking this too seriously, it looks like your just looking to get criticized.
Anyways why are there aliens in Fallout 4?

I remember hearing something a loooong time ago and I'm unsure if it is true; When a studio wants to patch a game on the consoles don't they have to pay money to Microsoft/Sony for them to host the patch to continuously upload it to players? Cause if that is the case then mods for the consoles (which they want to bring) would need to go through Sony/Microsoft right? That most certainly means there will be some kind of payment wall for console users at the very least.

Someone posted some loading screen stills on reddit: http://imgur.com/gallery/Bvox7/new
Why does the Assaultron have tits and smooth thighs?

[edit]

Oh! I get it!
Rule 34.

I don't know what to say other than "Fellow Fallout fans who enjoy FO1, FO2, and perhaps FNV, ignore everything that is depicted in Fallout 4, none of it is canon despite what Emil, Todd, and Pete tell what is and what isn't. It is clear that they and the rest of the development team make shit up as they go along."

Considering how much lore Bethesda has mutilated with Fallout 3 and with what we've seen of Fallout 4 I think that the only sane thing to do if you want lore consistency would be to write both of them off as non-canon and ignore them completely. That's my stance on it. They can wave a piece of paper that says "Fallout license" that they've wiped their ass with all they want to, doesn't mean they get to decide what lore is canon and what isn't canon if they are too fucking incompetent to care for the lore.

I mean, does anyone here at this point consider Fallout 4 canon-worth? At all? And what about Fallout 3? It's not like it'd be a big loss to write that one off as being non-canon so does anyone consider that game canon?

But.... Why would he then put the two AI's of women into securitron's rather than sex-bots?
House clearly has a thing for tires and screens. Not tits and thighs.
