This is his opinion about the game's story so far:
Si os han gustado los juegos de Bethesda estaréis familarizados con misiones algo "sosas" o con poca justificación narrativa (llegas a un poblado y todo el mundo requiere de tus servicios sin venir a cuento; haces cuatro chorradas y te nombran miembro superior de un gremio, etc.) que, viniendo este año de TW3 o de New Vegas, puede hacerse un pelín "simplón". Si esto no es un problema, me parece rozando lo imposible que este juego no encante a los aficionados de los juegos de la compañía.

Translation: If you liked Bethesda games, you will be very familiar with "dull" missions or with very little narrative justification (you get to a village and everyone wants your help without any justification; you finish few quests and you'll become a renowned member of a guild, etc.), coming from Witcher 3 or New Vegas, it can feel a bit "dum". If this is not an issue for you, I think It's impossible that this game would fail to impress the fans of this company.

Can you show me more of these images? I've only seen like a few limited. I want to find the photos that include the one you are posting.

Figures Bethesda doesn't try to explain things with a narrative and resorts to just doing random quest till you become god of a city.

Beth saw this, and laughed "Lol! Look they totally got all the trees wrong! Man, they don't know shit about post-apo stylez!"

I Just don't understand why people think this looks worse than other games on PS4.

Well, here are some other open-world games running on PS4. Compare these to those screenshots we have. I think the difference is pretty clear but you can judge for yourself I suppose.

Well I guess the issue is that he CAN'T judge them, or we would not have this argument ;)

I think no one really said that F4 looks outright shit. It is by far not the worst looking game out there, there are situations where it really looks amazing even, but those are in my opinion rather rare. What I get is that most poeple are simply not impressed by their visuals. I would say it's simply average. However, if those screenshots are showing the absolute best of what the game can do, than it is kinda disapointing when you consider that most of the recently released open world games look in many situations better.

I personaly just don't like how Bethesdas engine has evolved over time. Their visuals DO improve - which is a given, with new hardware and all. But their worlds look like everything was carved out of plastik. What I saw from Witcher 3, MGS : Phantom Pain, Dragon Age 3 etc. feels a lot more believable. Particularly the Witcher 3. Their charcter models and towns look a lot more authentic. But that's my opinion.

Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain (1080p/60fps)

Horizon: Zero Dawn (1080p/30fps)

Final Fantasy XV (1080p/variable 30fps as of Episode Duscae demo)

The Witcher 3 (1080p/30fps)

MGS V is an other kind of game.

Horizon Zero Dawn isn't out yet.

Witcher 3 doesn't look much better and also has frequent framedrops.

MGSV is an openworld game with weather too, Witcher 3 looks miles better so I think you really need your eyes checked and Fallout 4 is aparently suffering framedrops too on console despite being locked at 30fps.

I disagree.

In MGS V you can't do/interact with nearly as much stuff as in Fallout.

Like what thigns do you interact with i nFallout that merit such drop in visual quality? Picking up tin cans and forks?

Interact?
Such as open doors?
Pick up spoons?

The whole pick up sporks and spoons and knives and forks isn't Fallout to begin with - it's Morrowind.

(man, this thread moves fast!)

Consitency can also have alot to do with the difference in graphics quality. At their best these games might look pretty close, but one might have a more consistent level of quality over another. It's those sudden low res textures and models that get your attention.

Wow a lot of this sounds ultra disappointing. I'm especially disappointed by the pathetic sounding "difficulty" options.

It was clear that spanish spoiler guy would be a feast for NMA and because NMA is completly unbiased and objective his comment that he has troubles with his screenshot won't be mentioned. Also the english speaking guy on neogaf who also leaked PS4 pics won't be talked about (maybe because they doesn't look like a PC version on low settings).

edit: Sorry overlooked that the neogaf pics where posted.

Hopefully people see that spanish spoiler guy is either not playing on a PS4 or has a defective hardware where all the lightning gets mangled.

Those pics have been talked about. They still lack ambient occlusion, have stretched textures and there are a lot of low poly objects. It looks better in low light envirorments that mask most of those problems. You just ignore that because it's easier to dismiss negative criticism as just "hate".

Been reading all the tidbits from that Spanish user. No reputation (or apparently karma), poor writing, lack of hardcore mode, redundant dialogue wheel options, weird looking art direction -- sounds like a Bethesda game alright. About the only thing that sounded good was the improved AI.

MGS V is an other kind of game.

Though not an RPG, it's still an open world. It even has base-buiding elements like Fallout 4 does where you can go up to a cow or tree or car or whatever and Fulton it to your base and customize your base. It's a pretty similar kind of game really.

Horizon Zero Dawn isn't out yet.

Neither is Fallout 4. :P

Not really, it also has very limited environments with tons of texture pop in, MGSV that is.
