Fallout 5 Predictions Thread (with EXPLOSIONS!)

Most of the questions that you ask can be answered simply by browsing through the forums.

"Why all the pessimism for a new Fallout?"

Maybe because it will probably be made by Bethesda, and the vast majority of people on here dislike bethesda.

Hey moderators, please move the last 3 pages of shit to the vats.
Fallout 5 will feature a fully voiced male protagonist, it will eliminate the clearly flawed dialogue wheel by removing any choice in dialogue.
Fallout 5 will be about you rescuing your mother who one day mysteriously disappeared from Vault 100, as it turns out the evil faction, known as "The totally not Nazis" abducted her and, appointed her leader of the water purification project.
In order to allow Bethesda's vision for Fallout 5, New Vegas will have to be decanonised and, all the Obsidian employees will be taken out back behind the chemical sheds and shot. Todd Howard demands it.
Fallout 5 will again use the 4 faction system, this time around your player character will only be able to lead all of them, as to enhance the role-playing experience.
Fallout 5 will eliminate the SPECIAL system, in favor of a system that doesn't require any forethought on the part of the player.
Fallout 5 will be set in the ruins of New York, unfortunately the area of the city of New York will have to be quartered from its real size, in order to fit on the consoles you see.
Lastly Fallout 5 will kill your mother, father, significant other/s and, dog.

I'd like to point out that, yes, Bethesda is dumbing down the franchise and that's a fact, but no, that's not a bad thing in and of itself. Now, I've not played Fallout 4 yet. I know the story has been dumbed down for the worse, but I'm still hopeful about the gameplay.

I actually liked Skyrim, if that means anything, though I will say that it's story was about as well made as a Chinese pistol in Fallout 3.

The gameplay is just a generic shoot and loot fest and all the quests are about that, with virtually no pacifist routes or any alternate ways to solving quests. Very little actual dialogue and the leveling system is barebones on it's best moments.

Fallout 5 will be a squad shooter with multiplayer set in the WAAAACKY New New York, where the IBOL Empire is trying to outlaw water.

Actually, it's the fifteenth New New York. It's the New New New New New New New New New New New New New New New New York.

What if Bethesda takes it into another direction and makes Fallout 5 an actual MMO?
:aiee:

EDIT: I was typing in another thread and came up with this:

FO5 will be in pre-apocalypse China!
You play with a male spy or a female newsreporter and have to uncover some chinese plans to nuke the USA before it happens, if you fail Fallout happens, if you succeed then nothing from Fallout 1 to 4 ever happened and Fallout 6 will be about how the world was nuked by some terrorists instead.

Maybe everyone in the Fallout universe is already dead!

Oh I know exactly how Fallout 5 is going to be like. I bet Bethesda is going over the cliff notes of Van Buren as we speak for ideas.

The game will be set in 2300 because Bethesda is obsessed with going further down the timeline, even though it makes the story they are trying to tell and the setting and tone they are trying to create all the more impossible and dumb.
The NCR ending in New Vegas will be canon or semi canon just for the sole purpose of having there be a war between them and the East Coast Brotherhood of Steel.
Instead of doing something smart or thought provoking like bringing up the question of how fast technology should progress or if powerful tech should be in the hands of the common man, ect. No, instead an evil Illuminati like group created by members of the Enclave and Legion(because fuck it) are the ones really behind the NCR-Brotherhood war because reasons.
Also the main character will be a psyker, because everyone on the Beth forums, Reddit and Youtube want to play as an all powerful psyker, who is looking for his little or big brother because Bethesda believes that Fallout is about family issues not civilization rebuilding and repeating the mistakes of the past.

If this sounds stupid to anyone else then that means that Bethesda will undoubtedly do something like this or make something dumber.

Emil wouldn't be able to write something like that. A spy game would need a whole new game mechanic for investigation, stealth, ciphering etc... , a really solid main plot and dialogues (spying isn't about shooting people in the head, explosion, and giant mech, but chatting, lying, seducing, something that a 4 dialogues options can't convey), and an open world game wouldn't work for a pre-war China with Gamebryo (just image Beijing with a population of 50 peoples, it would be ridiculously hilarious) a game world separated into different hub would be more suited.

I didn't say a proper spy game, it was all about exploding enemies with fatman and rip them to shreds using miniguns, you know... what Fallout is all about these days? :lmao:

At this point I'm hoping that there will not be a Fallout 5. But if I observed correctly they wrote themselves into so many holes I expect them to start retconing everything all together.

I expect the next Fallout to be nothing but gimmicks with the fallout name stapled lazily to it. And it will be fool of orcs so stupid that they will literally die from starvation in the game.

Fallout 5 as presented by the Toddtastic Toddie: "Featuring graphics from 2008 because we are still using the Creation Engine for some reason! Also featuring token RPG mechanics like this meaningless meter that goes up when you take a step forward! Still featuring the toddler writings of Emil as we butcher more of the lore for gimmicks! Only including token attempts to add to the lore so that this sentence earns us applause! Deliberately including more bugs so that your experience is different each time. Removing dialogue systems because we have the emote and touch interface straight out of Fable 3 with randomized options so that we screw up - I mean we make your experience different each time you play! Plus none of your input choices matters because you'll be free to decide how your own story ends with the Endingtron 3000 at the end of the main quest!

It just works."

If Bethesda doesn't throw the Creation engine in the gutter before Elder Scrolls VI I think the cat will finally be out of the bag. Just about every decently made triple A game coming out now is vastly superior to anything the Creation engine can produce, no matter how much shiny gloss you cover it with.

The sad thing about Fallout's future at this point is that all there is to talk about or anticipate for is how awful it's going to be. It's weird, this series, in that there's usually always been some form of fingers-crossed-hopeful light at the end of the tunnel for its future. After Fallout 2 there was Van Buren, after VB there was Fallout 3 (whilst not knowing how badly Bethie was going to fuck it up), after Fallout 3 there was New Vegas (that didn't quite deliver on all fronts inspite of Obsidian), after NV there was Fallout 4 (anticipating if Bethesda was actually going to fix things even to some degree, which they ultimately didn't, quite the contrary), but right now there's nothing to look forward to and nothing to anticipate for but vain fantasies of games that will never happen and how bad Bethesda's next take will be.

Fallout 5 - Hey, more Brotherhood, yea, this splinter group, yea, they're here, they're stronger than everyone but they need your help to turn the tide!

Against whom, you may ask? Why, the Mutants, of course! Don't you just love seeing mutants in every game and have to kill them every time? And out of the right field comes the Enclave! They're still around! Yea! They're even smaller and stronger than the Brotherhood! Can you take them on?

Along your journey to defeat this evil, again, you'll be joined by a canvas of companions, like, mutant! Robot! Dogmeat! Yes, Dogmeat, not another dog, just Dogmeat! And interchangeable human characters! Along with a downtrodden Ghoul, who those pesty Humans hate but it's just a big misunderstanding you can heal! For the tenth time.

Now grab your plasma rifle and power armor, you shmuck from a vault - oh, wait, no, you're not from a vault, you're the secret son of Maxson, flung out here in this resource poor, still-dead-after-three-hundred-year land that's full of deathclaws, raiders, and slavers, and you have to find out how to woo the oh-so-grand and noble Brotherhood to make you their elder and despose the false one! Yea!
