Fallout 76

Look, either read what you're responding to or don't use the reply function.
I didn't read through your points since plenty of it was addressed by others but I felt like addressing some parts stated earlier.

As you can tell, I only glanced through them since I wasn't that invested in the whole psykers as a playable trait argument.

you know, it's pretty impressive that Bethesda has not yet brought to the East the Nightkins and the Wanamingos. Tabitha, Lily, Davison and Dog make the first ones very important in the lore and the last ones ..... well, they are the Cameron/ Scott aliens. How has Bethesda resisted not using them? It's the kind of thing that makes them jump from happiness.
Give them time. They will bring them in.

I remember saying I couldn't see how Bethesda could humiliate the franchise any more after Fallout 4 but I'm sure they'd find a way to surprise to me. They sure did.

LOOK AT THIS

Did anyone saw this in the past?

This channel made a Watchmen cartoon scooby doo/TMNT-like
Who knows the comic book, knows the huge amount of jokes and "lore break" that this trailer contains. But that's the point. It's a joke. It is to pervert and completely distort the original work.

But Bethesda man.......they came with something like this trailer and they do not even know the size of the middle finger they're giving to the franchise. No, they think they're totally nailed it.

to caesar what belongs to caesar, the quality of the animation looks VERY cool.

take the bad taste out of your mouth revisiting the last time an animation was made for the franchise (the real one, not the one it has today)

Well I'm still putting along on the Bethesda forums, I also noticed they moved my post to the general Fallout thread. However people are still engaging with it. https://bethesda.net/community/topi...o-bethesda-s-fallout-76-beta-letter/42?page=3

I still think that its a good idea that we weigh in on the topic to hopefully promote progress in the direction we would like to see. I understand many of you are burnt out from dealing with Bethesda fans, but look at it this way. Those that get grump trying to promote a real Fallout title on the forums can always come back here to vent about how nonsensical some other poster was. Hell if you want we can start an ongoing thread specifically for those engaging with this to degrumpify.

I know I'm asking a lot from everyone here, but I firmly believe that if we don't put forward the effort to push Fallout in a generally acceptable direction, then we will have lost and redeeming capacity for Fallout. We don't need to give up just yet, we here on NMA are a bright and dedicated group of individuals that have taken the time to not only consider the Fallout franchise, but each other as well.

I know you fine connoisseurs of Fallout won't let me or the franchise down. So lets let the old guard, guard the franchise once again.

That’s not funny even in sad way anymore.

You're very optimistic. But believe me, it's of no use. I spent years on that board doing exactly that. I was being constructive, favorable towards comrpomise, and polite just enough that I didn't even get any warnings (except for one). I'm not going to waste my time in that site again. Nothing ever came out of it, and nothing's ever going to come out of it except for wasted words of vain hopes and pointless arguments with totally clueless people.

But if you feel like it, have fun while it lasts.

Dafuq is this madness?!

How in the world did Fallout as a franchise go from: To that madness?

and nothing's ever going to come out of it
Bethesda has pretty much said that they're going to do what they think is best right? At least in some form? They want to appeal to the largest mass of people they can. If you can't even get an entire forum on their site to go against them you probably won't see much change as most people don't use forums anyway.

Yeah, pretty much pointless to try change the mind of any of the people at the Bethesda forums or anyone of the Bethesda's devs.

I've got a beer with your name on it...

Come take it anytime you want.

I stopped in to apologize to Einhander that I hadn't made my own thread on the Beth forum yet, because I said I'd try even though from his thread it seems like yelling into ether - I'm still writing it up and Election stuff took priority this weekend after a long work week - and I come in to see that trailer. Just...Disgust is the word that comes to mind but it doesn't fulfill the feeling. Its like the stomach dropping feeling you get when you're about to have a car accident you can no longer avoid mixed with the revulsion one would feel if they were served carrion by 10 year old slaves.

As Plzstandby said, its impressive in a bad way. To be *that* tone deaf. MILITANTLY tone deaf? I keep having to remind myself that one should never assume malice when incompetence will do but..c'mon.

Who's ready for yet another Combat Armor model fam? This piece of gear has peaked my interest into just what Bethsoft is gonna pull in 76. While it does bare a passing resemblance to the FO4 one, which itself was an older model than even the FO3 one.

I know it's for a good cause (for up to 100,000 USD) but :seriouslyno:

At least numbers 6, 8, 13, 18, and *maybe* 25 and 77 seem to be actually decent. As to the rest, I'm legitimately not sure those Street Artists have any idea what they were even given. Except for 9 and 11 I guess. They seem to know, although they seem way more 'Bethesda-like' so far as design.

But serious, for those prices? I don't have that kindof disposable income to throw away on a paperweight, good cause or no.

From what I can tell the "helmets" are non functional (lights, movable parts, etc...) and are just painted molds.
I'm sure people will buy them, however I find them lacking of desired traits to make such a purchase worth while.

6 is alright but I don't have a clue what's written on the left side.
8 is too weird. Like I can see the idea the artist went for on that, but I think it could be done better, especially if it had some sort of context in a game like a tribal warrior who had this power armor helmet that he won off a BoS member he killed, horns from a deathclaw he fought by himself, etc. That'd be kinda cool.
13, I suggest you take a full view of all sides of the helmet, might change your mind. 18 isn't that bad either. 25 is a painter who spilled his buckets on his power armor lmao. 77 looks good from the front, the cartoons on it are something I'd pass on though.

Yeah, those two seem to really understand what it was. Some may know what it was but not fully understand it, care, or have played any Fallout game. I know some people that bid on them because they like the artist who made it. But yeah, I don't have that kinda disposable income either even if I wanted these. I'd rather have something that's more akin to how they could reasonably look in Fallout.

I like the #19 helmet with the waw2 paint on it because I think that kind of thing fits Fallout
