First round of Fallout 4 Reviews

Oh my god, it's so adorable how you hang onto such a technicality that you even count a quest that isn't even given by Gravyman and forced on the player to even being able to progress. Is this how insecurity looks like?

Changing parameters alert! Both quests are given by Garvey initially actually. "One quest and you become leader" not true. The end. Walpknut was wrong everyone, he can't admit it! Saying it's one repeatedly when it's two isn't a technicality either.

You seem to just grasping at straws now.:wtf: It kinda funny but also kinda sad.

It's vaguely insulting that Bethesda took the time out to record "Boob', "Boobie", and "Boobies" (as well as "Cock", "Fuck", "Fucker", and "Fuckface") and not say "Anne" or "Andrea" (or any other reasonably common human name.)

Like some of the easter egg style joke names are funny (e.g. "asdf"), but there's really no need to validate the more immature segment of your audience with valuable studio time. Like how is one supposed to feel when they find that their actual name is not on there (mine is not) but they spent studio time letting you be called "Sex" or "Slit." It's reasonable to leave off names, as they have a finite amount of resources to devote to this, but it's vaguely insulting when they chose instead to feature terrible joke names instead of your own.

If you ask me, they shouldn't have wasted even one line on that recording, or ... they should have set the name for the player ... I mean since they want to copy Mass Effect anyway, so they could have gone the full way here as well. Cuntsworth should have simply called you Sir or Mam depending on your gender.

LIke I said, they should have used those resources in a much more meaningfull way, with 1000 lines you could probably do a couple of more quest? Giving some important NPCs more depth? No clue.

110 000 lines of spoken dialog, my ass. What does it matter how much spoken dialog there is if most of it contains "fuckface" or "I got it!" just because your stupid character cracked another door/computer or what ever ...

Whatever helps your ego Battle. A single quest counts as 2 because another one is forced on you. You are right. This quest clearly expemplifies the growth of a young man as a leader figure and a king. The part where you kill the Raiders and are made Leader should be among the greatest examples of character development in literary history. They should probably dedicate a whole wing of the Smithsonian to that 5 minute kill quest.

@Jebus fucking christ, let it be ok? Who cares really if it's one, two or even 5 quests. The fact alone that you are again the leader of some warrior guil ... some faction, despite the fact that they don't even really know you is stupid enough.

Learn the art of crafting? Oh, that's why that dude with the weird neck constantly started to talk to me when I was in Sanctuary. I guess walking up to the crafting table without actually doing anything is enough to be named General.
Cool. Dunno if it should count as a whole quest, though. I certainly didn't notice that it was supposed to be one.

Yes, because one guy and some civilian types who are scared being lead by a guy who saved them doesn't make any sense at all when they clearly have nothing to lose. You're trying too hard to make an issue out of this.

Well Pete Hines literary has been lying on twitter. He even said that the performance issues were just "idiots regurgitating garbage".

They don't really need to make much damage control, their sycophant angets are already at it, just look at Jim Sterling's crying article about the low user scores. Altho even in that one the comments are pretty much agreeing with the negative reviews.

It still feels odd. I mean, they actually know that the guy or gal just woke up and knows absolutely nothing about the world. If they can just tell him or her to go out and slaughter a ton of people, who says that others can't persuade him or her just as easily to betray the Minutemen? The Survivor doesn't know who's good and who's bad in that world.

They can't hide forever. With the distrust and pure unbridled hate most gamers now have towards "professional critics" and "journalist" they are going to need to face the angry mob eventually and admit that they fucked up big time but I'm not holding my breath. :whatever:

Out of curiosity, do the Minutemen offer any practical incentive for joining them? Money? Weapons? Resources?

Just see Bethesda pull a Bioware and say that the only reason people have problems with the game is because they are allowing gay romances.

Even the victim card is getting played out these days.

If this boils over, they're gonna have to face the music. They're out of bullshit excuses.
