First round of Fallout 4 Reviews

I tell myself everyday, That Witcher 3 will beat fallout 4. I just hope i am right.

Fallout 4's specs turned out to be way too high for the game. It shouldn't need a 4790k or 780ti. Maybe 760 with a 6-core AMD and Intel equivalent.

I am still confused how they supposedly got 111k lines of dialogue when most NPCs barelyeven talk beyond their introduction scenes. There are characters like the Mayor of Diamond City who just become wandering greeters that always just say "I have work to do" when you try talking to them. Companions similarly can't be asked anything about their lives or opinions, the "Talk" options just makes them spout some random quip that you can't even inquire further about. Are they taking enemy chatter into account for thos 111k lines? Because that is just bullshit.

I think it's just combined dialogue between male and female protagonist.

Gotta boast about 'something' in order to fool people into thinking they are still relevant as an innovative revolutionary developer that is breaking new grounds.

Valve is one of the last and true developers that try to innovate with their games. Half-Life with the source engine. They always release a product when it advances standards. Hell half-life 2 got game of the decade i think.

Bethesda really need to hire a new team of programmers or work on an engine that really can handle all these problems. Also, if Emile is the only writer they should really add more sub-writers and different leads.

Bioware, CD-projekt red and others often have a main writer and than sub writers like Patrick Weeks for bioware. That can work on more things. It's very rare for a developer to also be publisher, they often team up with third party studios to market it. Kind of like how sometimes you pay for a bondsmen to pay for bail. It's a team effort. I'm sort of ranting, But it seems like bethesda really have a weird approach to the gaming industry.

Are we counting combat barks as lines of dialogue? From what I'm hearing you're going to hear a whole lot of those through the course of the game.

Yes. We are also counting actual barks by Dogmeat.

I bought FO4, but I'm afraid it's gonna just suck right in my face the moment I try it out :I

This game is giving me a hell of a time, the terminals keep bugging out and the majority of the hacking screen isn't visible. One terminal had me go to sit down but I kept moving side to side for a little bit before I could finally use the terminal. Ghouls can run like SUPER fast zombies and i'm not exaggerating, oh and every quest I have done so far is "Go to this place and kill all these bandits then come back for money". Super Mutants are dumber than bricks and talk like it too. NPC path finding sucks too since they look like they'll go through a doorway then walk next to it then either keep walking into the wall or stand there for a minute.

Stop it :(

PC or PS?

On PC I reckon I can console-command half the game into submission, but on PS...

The nominees were announced for the 2015 Game Awards. Fallout 4 is nominated for Best Game as well as Bloodborne, Metal Gear Solid V, Super Mario Maker (I hope this wins), and Witcher 3.

It's clear that the people in charge of the nominations haven't played Fallout 4 before they made this list because they have it in the RPG category instead of the shooter category. :P

Also, lol @ Bethesda being nominated for Developer of the Year. lmao.

Of course it's a RPG game, you can be both, male and female ;) *cough*

I'm PC only. :)
Anyways yeah it's a MESS and crafting weapons is super tedious. Oh yeah I forgot to mention how the world feels...dead...like super dead with enemies littering big cities like Lexington, such potential.

I managed to argue w my gaming friend again today, he takes it SO personal, and he was praising everything - everything - all of it - it was so tedious, and I'm not trying to give excuses, but all I said was that it seemed like it left a lot to be desired (I was being enormously diplomatic) - and ended up having to point out to him that us disagreeing equally with each others, how come I stay calm, and on point, while he keeps repeating "I don't care anyway!" while taking it super-personally, and getting riled up, and telling me how many others agree with him.
It gets so tiresome...

It always leads up to "yeah, but the majority are a bunch of dumb fucking consumer whores", and I don't wanna end up going there every damn time...
