First round of Fallout 4 Reviews

Well just taking intense trainning would actually make it more boring as plain SPECIAL boosts don't really do much.

You get a Minigun with 13000 bullets and Power Armor on the first quest so that's just the normal game. Crafting is less in depth that it would seem from the trailers, Specially with Melee and Unarmed as those can only have 1 mod at a time, and all of them are linear increases in damage.

The game is only challenging if you purpousely go into Overleved areas. The way this game handles challenge is just by upping numbers. Feral Ghouls are actually the most annoying enemies to find this time around. Altho maybe it's because I have played New Vegas + Project Nevada so long but even in overleveled areas I haven't had much challenge. I also play in very erratic ways, I have seen let's players that play it extremely safe and boring, they never jump down ledges at random or circle strafe on drugs like an asshole like me.

Some don't some do. It's like in Skyrim. Some places are "enemy strongholds" that will get a "CLEARED" tag on the map after you kill everything.

played for 8 hours. new game old bugs. Dogmeat is annoying, gets in your way blocking you sometimes. DOG HAS FOUND SOMETHING - nice but I can't see where he is!
VATS isn't very useful except for targeting turrets or flying bugs and pressing space for critical.
building settlements - nice but I consider it as a distraction. You want settlement?
Why the f**k I have to put the beds, you can't construct them on your own?
Also I think family intro puts you in the shoes of goodmaker from the start.
Power Armor - how the f**k you can use it? In previous games you needed training for it!
Connected PIPBOY app with the game - nice but it doesn't give F4 a title of GOTY.
I started playing it after finishing Witcher 3 main story and Heart and Stone DLC.
Sorry Bethesda but you can't beat W3.

Well, on Metacritic, the score for user reviews on PC and Playstation has gone up by 0.1 each, so the PC score is no longer in the red with a whopping 5.0 score and the Playstation one is right now at 5.9. I was kinda hoping it'd get lower rather than higher. Oh well.

Ehh, it would go up if the people who had their reviews taken down would put up a more serious one.

Didn't they remove a lot of the negative scores some time ago? The ones they deemed as trolling or something ...

Yeah, it seemed like about half of the negative user reviews suddenly disappeared. Kinda weird, nobody on the Internet seems to care. Don't gamers usually flip their shit over things like that?

Only if it involves female developers and sex.

My sister, who is not a critic but plays a million games a year – is looking forward to this more than any other game released since Fallout 3, I reckon. I’ve been telling her about my experiences and she is dismayed by every criticism. I think she loves it because of the setting, because it appeals to her thematically in a way that The Elder Scrolls don’t, and because whatever No Mutants Allowed might think, she’s been playing Fallout since the nineties and still enjoys these trips back into its world, however changed it might be.

Grampy bone would disagree..

I agree with a lot of this, I kept dying because that stupid dog gets behind me, stands in a doorway or any other stupid thing you can imagine. The building section of the game is SO unintuitive and you can't properly build walls aound settlements with hill, of course I only have one point in that leadership skill. I did like two or three quests and i'm already "General" of the Minutemen!

It's a little bit worse than just this. If you straight up kill the 2 settlers at Tenpines Bluff you fail the mission, but you still get promoted to General upon your return. The only piece of dialogue between you and Garvey reflecting this is something like "I don't think they'll be joining us...", "Oh, ok...". Doesn't even ask why :irked:
