The inevitable is inevitable, sadly.
Recently a dude from my class in elementary school went missing and "resurfaced" a week later. I put it in quote marks because he didn't actually resurface on his own. They found his body in a pond, which they actually had to pump the water out to find him.
 
In my case they aren't dying, they are just getting married left and right. I mean, I'm 24.... why the fuck are you marrying at 20-22-23-25? I tought we weren't in the 1950's anymore.... It's kind of scary, I'll start seeing people I went to school with posting pictures of their children soon....
 
Inevitable is one thing, but avoidable is another. At least one of them had a stroke and that kinda came out of nowhere. But several were perfectly preventable. Anyway, morbidity be damned, mum's the word.

Not sure if you're joking, cause of that winky emote. Just saying Streisand Effect is a thing. You try to distance yourself from something by actively pointing out the distance, it'll only serve to remind people of the thing you tried so hard to escape, thus nullifying all your efforts.
 
Actually no one has mentioned it in quite some time, aside from you doing so right now. The reason the thread was named as such was to make it clear that "the other topic" was not to be discussed here. There is/was a hundred page topic just for that, so I felt it was necessary to allow others to "shoot the shit" over here without treading the same tired topic that is/was being discussed all over the web.

If it REALLY bothers someone the thread could simply be titled The General Discussion Thread of Doom...threads go through name changes all the time, as I assumed this one would eventually, after the flames died down. If someone with BANHAMMER powers is listening they can change the thread name to that. Yes. That will do.

No, that was BigBoss. If you REALLY wanna get specific, neither of us truly "mentioned" it or named it, as much as alluded to it. But every time you see the title point it out, of course it draws your mind to it. So the only culprit of mentioning it is the thread itself. =P

That was my point about it being poorly named. NOT the first half, cause that's funny. What doom is there to be found in shooting shit? XD

It's funny because it's in spanish and in mexican. This guy is from the US and speaks argentinean so well that if he told me he was a local I would have believed him. He thinks Buenos Aires accent is an equivalent of what south England british accent is in english, do you guys think the same?
 
I think only Argentinians think that way about their own accent.
Spanish accents are more than serious business.... Which is dumb. The accent from where I was born is usually linked to uneducated hillbillies, and I can't say it doesn't have any basis on reality.... But I don't have that accent, thanks to being a rather reclusive kid I developed what we call the Radio Host accent....
 
I think not only argentineans since the guy is a US native, son of US natives as well, and live his whole life in the US, he just came to Argentina to visit and improve his accent.

Actually, people in Argentina think the equivalent to british accent is spanish accent from Madrid, for obvious reasons.

Also to be noted is that the accent is from Buenos Aires, this norge guy speaks cordobes (accent from Cordoba province) XD

The opinion of an outsider is kind of pointless really. When I worked on the Call Center I tended to get a lot of positive comments on my accent (when they weren't being out and out racists).
I don't think Madrinian Spanish would be held in such high regard among spanish speakers, most people outside of Spain tend to hate them.

I tend not to be xenophobic (by means of hating everyone) but my experiences with people from Spain have been mostly negative, they are always talking about how their country is heaven on earth and even on a trip to England or even Poland they just keep badmouthing the local ANYTHING saying it's all better in Spain.... Also the spanish airlines ripped us off because we were promised 3 meals to be included with the flight to england (counting the connection in Spain) and when we boarded the second plane they only gave us Soda and expected us to pay 10 euros for the lamest sandwich ever... The english plane on the second trip from spain to UK gave me "chicken and thyme" sandwiches included with the flight and the plane smelled nicer too.
 
I've just realized that in most games you can't kill children because they're invulnerable or cut, in UK it's even illegal to sell games where you can kill children... but in Deus Ex (2000), when a starving, homeless orphan asks you for something to eat because he can't sleep from hunger, you can crush his skull with a crowbar.

I mean, they even made a voice acting for the child being burned alive by a flamethrower. No one had a problem with this?

I meant that I realized that about Deus Ex (I've never tried killing kids, I guess that's a good thing :s)
