Can't make this thing work short of just restarting it from 0.

Sometimes deep sea divers are caught into the deep currents and are just carried away and eventually run out of oxygen and die. So it's all fun until it isn't.

Dying might be the best thing that can ever happen to you. We just don't know it.

Looks like shiets about to pop off in Barcelona. Who was that nice NMA'er from Barca? Damu or something? He's not posting anymore (big surprise considering the high concentration of trolly a-holes here).

Live feed of the riots. Barcelona is a beautiful city.

I met an Apple superfan that works exclusively on Mac altho they have a PC that they stated are terrified of connecting to the internet because it will instantaneously get a virus apparently.

I've heard that Apple products have a lower level threat of viruses overall. If it's true I wonder why it is so, are 'anti-PC' viruses maybe made to make Apple look better and made in the States? What if Euros started making anti-Apple viruses, the US would accuse us of cyber warfare or something and start bombing us.

What Graves said. Apple could and can get viruses.

The potential amount of users to be infected with Windows is way higher with Apple. And not to mention, how many things run on a Windows server? That's another question. Does Apple even make server software anymore?

That's essentially it.

Why spend the time? One could equally say that TRS-80 and PDP-8 computers are less prone to virus infection.

I think there could be more to it than just that though. There are things like software architecture, amount of money put into R&D, economic and political factors, etc.

Virus writing was a prank—before crypto-currency; now it's a profession. Why spend three months [say] writing a livelihood that targets the smallest pond with its net?

My point is that this person seems to think that if they connected their PC to the internet it would immediately get inffected without prompt.

It can.

*One can get infected while trying to download security updates—before they get applied the system is not immunized. Infection attempts are —always— happening, because there are always infected machines online; and always will be.

Only if you in an unsecure connection. These people thought that the PC had like Cyber aids so it was susceptible to any disease if they so much as connected it once to the internet.
