Hello. New here. I'm a fan of Fallout. I simply love the universe that has been constructed for the games, and can't really say which ones are my favorite because I love them all.
I joined because I'm interested in starting or joining a Fallout roleplay. Mostly starting, if possible, because I have an idea for one.

Hey. My name is ProtoMob.

I've been reading this forum for a while now, but didn't bother to register until now. I've been a fan of the Fallout series for about two years now, though I mainly prefer the Black Isle Studios/Obsidian games. I don't exactly hate Fallout 3, but I find myself often just trying to make sense out of something in the game (like how the hell is Little Lamplight still populated or what the hell do people even eat)

I'd probably play Fallout 3 more if finding good lore-friendly mods wasn't such a pain in the ass. After all the Nexus is mostly filled with godawful anime mods and shitty comics about someone's Mary-Sue character. Not to mention the admins there are just moronic.

Oh well. When I'm not playing Fallout, I make mods for New Vegas. I'm currently working on two mods, one cranks up the difficulty up to near-merciless and the other one redesigns the towns and makes them look more "classic," like, it adds back the weird mohawk-head buildings and whatnot. When I'm not modding New Vegas, I usually just loiter on the Internet, read some Fallout lore, watch JonTron's videos, laugh at SJWs and tell them to go feast upon defecation etc.

Oh and my favorite classic Fallout game is probably the first one. The second one was not bad and did some things better than the first one, but it often went too far with all the fedora-wearing mooks, porn studios and talking rats. If someone managed to remove those things or turn them into something more "tolerable," I'd be a happy Finnish recluse.

Good man. That's the right attitude to have. I'm sure you're aware, but many people here react with rabid fury to any mention of not outright hating FO3, and it's startling few who will say, sensibly, that it's not a great game, but it's not the worst thing ever made. But then again, a good mix of different outlooks always makes for a healthy community, so I think you'd find yourself at home here just fine!

There aren't any links yet, they're still heavily WIP.

I'm not sure if I'll host them on Nexus because they have a few assets from Fallout 3 and knowing Nexus moderators, they'll probably just delete the mods like the nillywillies they are. I'll most likely upload the mods on NMA.

The town redesign mod is going a bit slow due to the lack of meshes of the classic buildings, but I recently started working together with a 3D modeller. He's currently recreating the beige Junktown/Navarro gas station building. Y'know, the one where Doc Morbid is.

The difficulty mod mostly makes items like stimpaks, weapons and ammunition and food scarce. You won't probably get a decent shooty until after Primm (unless you don't mind dealing with NCR assassin squads) It also adds back a few classic items, like the Pipe Rifle, Spear and Hardened Power Armor. I'm also planning on adding the Wattz laser weapons and the motorcycle football armor.

Hi guys! I'm back again after a long haietus! Some of you might remember me posting I was going through army basic training. Well I finished now, and made it to AIT so I can now have access to my phone and electronics again. I'll be back to posting off and on, joining fallout debates as usual, and just hanging out. Missed you all at NMA and I'm glad to be back! *salutes* hooah guys!

68Y--eye specialist. I am thinking of changing my MOS after my first term though. I originally wanted to be 68W--healthcare specialist, but they didn't have room available. When I got to basic training, I found out why--half my freaking battery were 68W loool!!!

Well idk. I'm in San Antonio for AIT, but it's not the lax party place my recruiter said it would be. Because all the freaking medics decided to wreck a hotel last year, we all are severely restricted. Off post passes are almost unheard of, and even getting an on post pass is difficult now. I don't know if it was that restricted back when you were in.

Speaking of that, when were you in and what's your MOS? :) :) Always nice to meet another Army guy or gal xD
