I think I already explained that the poll was broken, but left it open to see how people generally felt before I re-made it. I was going to re-make after a week, but I would have had to keep adding to it.

Now I'm just waiting for those who wanted to honestly give stupid suggestions in other threads to stop. :D

Here's a new one: Jeremy Soule soundtrack!

Compared to Mark Morgan, Soule music would definitely be a winner for one of the worst ideas, ever. :D

It's not like his work is bad, per se, it's just...highly derivative. Which means he's okay for remixing Star Wars themes, but expecting unique atmospheric music from him would be a stretch.

I think the lamest Fallout 3 idea has already happened - giving the licence to the Morowind lot.

The next worse was a Final Fantasy style combat system (ie, close your eyes and press fire every every time you hear a beep until it eventually stops).

OMG!! NO!!

Maybe because I hate FF....

Oh screw you, man.

His Secret of Evermore soundtrack was the shit, and it was his first venture. There's a reason the original fetches $150 average on eBay.

Uh...yes, Secret of Evermore had great music, and could be called "the shit" So could the music for Total Annhiliation, and a few others. Up until he became a one-trick pony.

The rest could be called "shit". Really, he's highly derivative after a point, and he's not quite working for Squaresoft USA anymore (which SoE was a SS US title based on the SoM engine). He's lost much of what could be called talent, and goes straight into theatrical pieces that have become his "niche", but it's more like a crutch since he's essentially just remixing Williams' style for his more recent video game pieces.

Yes, I do know the history of the development of his music and the game itself. But I actually wouldn't know if his latest stuff has been awful, since I haven't really played a new RPG through on console since FFVII. (Was disgusted with VIII and IX, which pretty much turned me off from console entirely for a while.)

His music that I HAD heard was fantastic, so I guess I've been out of the loop.

If what you say is true, then I am now sad for Soule.

SoE was his one SNES console piece, the rest is just questionable (Unreal II, for instance?)

Dude, look at his rap sheet. Unless it's creating generic theatricals for formulaic BioWare, Ass-Powered Games, and Bethesda releases, he isn't doing much else.

His work on the Harry Potter games is pretty much a remix from the musical scores of the movies and other generic themes. The same goes for pretty much all of his recent title themes. He's like a stock fantasy mixer and frankly no longer worthy of the hype around his ability.

Which I am similarly sad about, because good composers are difficult to find, but remixers are a dime a dozen.

How was his Warhammer stuff? I actually intend to get that game.

(Dungeon Siege... Oh dear.)

While I can't personally say for certain, I imagine it's a "Blood Angels Opera In Space!" instead of space opera.

Way to be an idiot rosh, my idea wasnt for fallout 3 it was just a random idea, thats why i posted it in the general gaming forum

I ask that it be removed from this stupid pole, as everyone knows all of those things suck pretty much all the same for fallout 3.

Uh...have a stupid conscience or something? I took all of these from the Fo3 forum, and are both a mix of recent and classic idiocy around the Fallout title. This includes such classic idiocy as J.E. Sawyer and Ass Janitor Danien both arguing that Fallout should have an RT combat system because of the ants and rats present in mid to later game, despite how that's really just BIS' shitty map and enemy planning. For fuck's sake, just making the ants bigger and tougher would have worked, since...oh, I don't know...there was uranium in Broken Hills, and the fiction style would have allowed some THEM! sized ants to come about.

So, it stays, because it was the biggest load of idiocy I had heard from the people who were developing Van Buren, and supposedly they were going to make a "great" Fallout 3 as well.

So if you're feeling stupid about having posted an idea in the general gaming forum, don't worry, it probably was, on its own merit. Do not worry, I'm not making any digs at you with this "pole"[sic]. :D

Here's a lame idea in general: Digging on an admin and calling him an idiot.

Seriously, if he was just in a bad MOOD you could be >poofed< in a second.

Which idea was that? Oh, and it's poll, just because spellcheck says it's ok, doesn't mean it makes sense.

Christ let people misspell without berating them , unless its really funny like the idea of MethidParadox sitting on a pole :D
