Main enemy for F03....

Hmm, it seems you have a certain thing called FOT-complex. Seriously, I see no originality, and I can't see how a group of raiders can _possibly_ pose a threat to a city larger and more succesful than the NCR.

This doesn't make sense, that's right.

If you were powerful enough to pose a threat to a strong, well-developed city wouldn't you instead just take over a weaker city? You're obviously strong enough to do so.

And once you've taken over the city, generally you end up "harmonizing" with the inhabitants if you stay there long enough. (Like the Mongols in China...)

HAHA! the funny thing about this is when he says "I don't know if this has been suggested yet" ... as if its a good idea or something...

Ok, didn't read the entire topic, so I don't know if this has been suggested yet... but I say the main enemy should be... *drum-role* SHEEP!!!

But i do like all talk about multiple selections for where you start out...

I think it should be like, i want my character to be a Mutant, so i can start here, here, or here... I want my character to be a Ghoul so i can start out here, here, or here, etc...

and within each class you have a different availability of storylines becuase Mutants are not allowed in some cities and are only aware of/allowed to be in others...

and, I think if it was this way you could have it organized so that once you have fully experienced the game as a Human, Mutant, Ghoul, etc... You can use all of the information for the quests combined and have some sort of all-inclusive ending (of course there would be an all-inclusive for an evil and a good ending)

That would be sweet

Vault Dweller realy could make a good enemy...
I mean... Vault Dweller sure already had been exposed to the FEV in the Glow, so, i think that after e left Arroyo... he transformed himself in a superior kind of Human... Then, he get mad and begin to seek revenge against the people of Vault 13 for outcasting him... He finds an army to comand... And they begin to atack Arroyo... Will could kill him (He using a ULTRA-TURBO Plasma Rifle, a kind of Super Knife and Hardened Power Armor MKII, that could be very resistant, and have 3000 HP, 30AP, and 100AC, so, criticals, good weapons and good perk couls help, but not enough, YOU must be a good enough fighter to kill him), or tell him about the Chosen One, the union between Vault 13 and Arroyo, the death of the Overseer, and if you make a VERY VERY HARD ALMOST impossible Speech check, he stops his plans, and blow his base, destroing a good part of his army... and killing him... Here ends the battle agains the greatest Fallout legend...

This is a terrible idea. I mean, seriously. Awful.

Yeah, and there should be a quest about clearing out the basement of the local tavern with three dungeons of rad scorpions and rats and there should be chests and crates with cool loot and the rad scorpions should drop metal armor and Burning Javelin of Anal Leakage +10 and stuff lawlz.

*sigh*

Brazilian Slaughter, I don't know if I should perm-ban you for being a complete and utter moron, or if my desired action is allowed by this board's rules. Seriously.

For telling that Brazil sucks, i said to myself:
I promise: If i can find a way to wipe out america with they own nuclear weapons, Roshambo' whore hou... err, house, will be the first target !!

I think this actually is a bannable offence. Still, I think I'll wait and watch while the kids make fun of you until an admin steps in. Rosh, for instance.

This could be fun !!

I feel the hate swelling up inside of you. Unleash your anger......

have any of you played the RIFTS roleplaying game? Well, in that world, the Earth went into Nuclear war. However, instead of mutating and whatnot, this caused the chi lines of the earth to be horribly corrupted and caused all kinds of different creatures to come from different alternate dimensions. Wouldn't it be interesting if something LIKE this is used in the next Fallout game? After all, I personally have a hard time believing that civilizations like the Enclave could FORM after something like that happening. And the Deathclaws and the ogre-looking mutants... those are some SERIOUS mutations, how come most of the other things in the game don't have such major mutations to them? And what about mutated humans (I'm not talking glowing ones or ghouls)? Some explanation on these would be nice.

and I think the Karma system should remain, but be revised.

The enclave was there before the war, the deathclaws and super mutants were not mutated from radiation only, it was a result of the FEV. Happy? :P

maybe australia grew a military and has been takeing over the world durring the past 150 years after the war and they finally made there way to western america.(they started going west) wouldent australia be the only continent to have a chance to survive a nuclear fallout?

Uh, something tells me they won't just "forget" about Austrailia in a worldwide conflagration. They'll send a couple at the main cities, I'm sure.

("They" being the generic evil bad nation, probably.)

Do realize, people, that FO3 may be sending us more east, away from the Californian coast. FO brought us south, FO2 brought us west, and FO3 might send us into Colorado (SP).

Maybe the main villain could be a Mormon in Utah? Or have an important character be in Utah.

Peas. That's it. Peas. The main villain will be a giant pea.

That idea is perfectly described by your avatar:

Yeah. Peas are a bad idea.

But still having factions and whatnot bickering over things like power is just...Too modern. The end boss should be something futuristic. Or even unexpected. The last guy could be a man in jeans and a t-shirt with a handgun, but you're no better off. He doesn't have to be a walking tank.

I'm not a big fan of faction based games. I really enjoy the karma-based Fallout type tho. Its makes it feel more free yet you can't do certain things in town otherwise you'll be attacked. That is a hidden faction in itself, its just nice when its more simple, evil and good. Factions just complicate things. Groups however such as the BOS are neat to have.

On a side note, I almost think it would be neat to have a prequal to Fallout such as the events occuring right before the war that lead into Fallout. Just an idea if they plan on adding to the series :).

Maybe, I was thinking that. Or maybe it could be on the East coast and you're a soldier fresh out of Boot Camp when the bombs fall and you've got to cope with the changes to the world.

Better yet you're a fresh one strait from the Sierra Army Depot.

SAD wasn't in FO1, but you gave me an idea. What if the main boss wasn't human? Ever? What if you have to kill an uber powerful deathclaw or an alien? That would explain the aliens in FO1 and 2, wouldn't it?
