NFL - week 13 seems like as good a week as any

Hawks with an amazing win... Josh Brown is yet again my frackin hero. Arguably one of the best kickers of all time in my books.

This was the defense's game, Maphusio.

Who'd have though we'd be saying this two years ago, but...great D, great QB, good WR team...if only they had a running game.

Yeah amazing how quickly things change eh? Next week, that will be tough, Green Bay... I do hope for a good game no matter the outcome.

Oh, hey, look, the refs are whistling for the Steelers again.

Where have I seen that one before?

Bullshit call on that 4st-and-goal, right there.

HOLY SHIT WHAT A RUN BY GARRARD.

edit: and the Jags get it! So far I'm 2/2 on my play-off picks, but then again they weren't challenging (my picks were Seahawks, Jags, Bucs, Chargers)

I like the Steelers, but I liked the way the Jags have been playing this year more. Can't have a QB turn over the ball like Ben was doing this game if you're going to play hard-nosed football.

Good game.

AFC game was better than the NFC game :P

Great game by Jones-Drew. I'm still maintaining he's the best RB from the 2006 class, possibly barring only Addai. Bush is pure hype, Maroney is shit and we can't really know how good Addai is because anyone can rush behind the Colts line...Jones-Drew is the multi-purpose, big play guy that Bush was supposed to be, though.

no shit! wow! what a fucking game! go jags! you deserve it!

(and a Rotherainadgaisgngadibuerger sack at the end to shove the face in the shit...wow)

Bucs put on a very shitty performance, maybe Gruden shouldn't of bunched his play makers for two weeks. Came off as a rusty get go. No Forced fumbles or interceptions. I think Ronde, Brooks and Galloway are gonna retire after this season. And hopefully, with that cap boost, Gruden can really open up his receiver corp.

BTW, their offensive coordinator needs a boot. They need someone will more innovation of play making. Thoughts anyone?

meh. Giants just looked good is all (after about 10 minutes in, that is). even Eli looked kinda good.

freakin' defense was on high-octane man...hard to stop those guys after momentum picked up.

Yeah, I thought the Giants were gonna play piss poor but man, they showed me that their game with the Pats wasn't a fluke.

Go Giants, go Eli. I want to see them beat the 'Boys, who haven't been playing very well.

The Jags have a chance to beat the Pats, and should give them a run for their money, the Colts will get at least 10 on the Chargers, and the Seahawks and Packers...not sure about that one, except it'll probably be good.

Eli will choke against the Bwoys. 1 TD, 3 INT, 1 L. Good thing for the boys they're facing the Giants, they need a soft matchup now

Jags have no chance. None of their strengths are any threat against the Pats, and all their weaknesses are exactly what the Pats are good at. They must be licking their chops.

Colts and Chargers are probably the closest matchup of the weekend, but the Chargers are too up and down due to bad coaching.

Seahawks-Packers is a coinflip like most NFC matches, but probably the Pack.

Yeah, I'm leaning toward them myself.

And you don't think that Jones-Drew and Taylor are a threat for the Pats? That's a fantastic combo there...

Oh, don't get me wrong, I love Jones-Drew and Taylor, I've often argued that MoJo is actually the best, most versatile running back from the 2k6 draft, a future Brian Westbrook but with less injuries, and Taylor is great, underappreciated back.

But will that matter? The Jags has a slow, grinding offense that depends on their D's ability to not let the opponent score. The offense eats up time and puts up a few points, the D stop the opponent. It works, but it won't work against the Pats, who are almost 10/10 for scoring on their first possession. Besides, did you see what the shotgun run by Ben Roethlisberger did to the Jax D? They were in disarray. Now imagine Brady running the same shotgun formation with his full WR platform.

Can the Jax offense put up enough points to keep up is then the question. No they can't is the answer. No one can, 'cept the Colts, Boys-with-TO and Pack.
