Obsidian's Project Eternity

Hopefully by "complete" they mean "release a fan-patch that restores all the content that was cut from the game".

It seems he's never even played it. I should've added the extra submissions before you all admitted you suck. :)

I suffer from the same problem, especially lately. I've got so many half-to-almost completed games I need to finish.

You think that's annoying? You haven't seen my university bunch.

But yeah, constant screaming + mic-level sound = a bit much.

Also, I saw the question on the chat, I wonder if getting drunk helps him write better.

The Paypal money is separate but counts towards the stretch goals yes? So with that they met the $4 million dollar goal?

It seems so. Several rumblings indicate that they gained 140k from Paypal. In terms of Wasteland 2, that game is based on Brian Fargo's vision. The setting is already there and they have to hone it to perfection. Whereas PE is based on an entirely new setting. I wonder if they will rely on existing adages like elves, orcs et cetera.

Since PE has significant coin at their disposal, I trust that they create something totally unexpected. A setting and premise that is not familiar and forces the player to find out about the world and its mechanics.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe there are going to be elves and dwarves, at least, and probably other fantasy staples. They said they weren't going to be using them in the usual way, or somesuch.

when i saw this thread i pretty much ignored it figuring i would buy it when it came out. until yesterday i clicked i think on page 15 and read through 16 and realized this was a kickstarter and looked for the pic.

the pic was good, so threw i think 35$ at it.

in the future, put kickstarter in the title or something.

and the only reason co-op or friends make borderlands 2 better is because you are doing it with other people, not because the base game is better/complimentary with more people. i agree with total biscuit on that score.
