And yes, a lot of shooting happens in every major US city with a concentration of poor people. There is no reason to bring in the qualifier "black", when it's the poverty, density and city culture that brings it about. You've been hanging out in conservative circles too much, DB, you don't even see how badly the way you talk comes across as blatant racism.
The difference is that "The President is black" does not imply that his skin color has anything to do with him being president.

Nothing more needs to be said. The fact that you, in that cute little field trip, specifically chose to show a city with a vast majority of blacks (while there are worse murder capitals in the US) says a whole damn lot. Racism is a lot more subtle than ''hur durr blacks are teh ugly''.
As for Obama, that's a completely unverifiable theory, not to mention that there is perhaps just as much peole that voted against him because he was black. The US's history with these issues does nothing to dissuade that thought.

I don't drink. I'm fine with the use of alcohol and I think drugs should be legalised. You should have freedom to consume what you want. But at the same time I have the freedom to not consume it. Sometimes telling people I don't drink doesn't stop them offering me it.
