There isn't a socialist candidate here, they call Petro a Socialist but he is more like Bernie Sanders, he is leading the polls but the far right has support from the narcos and they control almost all branches of the government at the moment and the centrist opposition is spending more time attacking him over denouncing the government since he took the lead so I am not getting my hopes up.
