Game-wise, riding a horse tends to carry a certain amount of fantasy-setting baggage in my mind, yes. You just don't see horses very often outside of fantasy-settings, is the most likely reason. Also, I didn't mean to suggest that the inclusion of horses would make it indistinguishable from a fantasy setting while in the middle of a wasteland while playing a character with a rifle slung on his back, as that's obviously foolish. However, I still believe that, if the horses from Oblivion were simply thrown in, they would be distinctly out-of-place, feeling like a throw-away from some generic fantasy game. As I previously stated, I think that horses would make perfect sense in a PA setting, even in the Fallout universe. The East Coast setting would also help since the apparent lack of horses on the West Coast could be readily explained to be a result of all sorts of circumstances.Xenophile said:That's just assinine to say the existance of horses would make the game feel like a fantasy game. But then like assholes everyone has their own opinion.
All I meant to say was that I don't think Bethesda could pull off horses in FINO3 in a manner that wouldn't scream "we already had these horse models/animations so we figured why not go ahead and reuse them!"
