People say that the facial animations aren't too big of a deal. These are the same people that praised Mass Effect for its characters and their interactions.


Also, I didn't know that Krogan could be gay boyband members. Andromeda sure is a weird place.

Well, other people tend to average my books at 4 out of 5. This book, here, being rated 4 or higher over 2000 times.

People took a long time to realize I wasn't a troll. That I actually really just loved Fallout 3. Also, that I loved Nuka World while I mostly enjoyed Fallout 4.

But with that mindset, we get formulaic bullshit all the time like the Ass Creed games (post 2), COD games, Battlefield games anything from EA Sports etc. Clearly regular releases are also causing as much problems in content quality as well since developers are forced to churn out the same game with new gimmicks (which are presented as 'features'). Worse still is how the lack of formula shaking is how we are getting stories and content like ME:A's schlock, a by-the-numbers story from my own readings on it that does not improve on anything from the original trilogy.

The worst part is that consumers are gullible enough to fall for the formulaic bullshit of these releases and wind up supporting the practice, which promotes more formulaic bullshit.

So no, I'd rather developers take time to carefully craft their works for a franchise or even make new franchises if they recognize that a franchise has to end (like how Dark Souls 3 is touted to be the finale to the Dark Souls series, though probably not the last of future Souls-like games). Better to have less but with great content than to have regular average games all capable of falling below average if handled haphazardly.

To be fair, even I enjoy Fallout 3.
But only as a Bethesda game, as a Fallout game, it sucks.

(Same with Fallout 4).

(I may post a review of them both up here in the not too distant future).

But none of the deserve anything higher than a 6 at most.

Also, getting a 4/5 or 8/9/10 out of 10 really means nothing.
Grades in general, even my own, are pretty worthless. It's hard to judge a product via a binary number. It's why I mostly grade quality and not personal preference.

Otherwise The Room would be a straight up 10.

For me, quality is determined by how much you enjoy a piece of art. I reject more mathematical formula.

Not sure what you're getting at, most people who hate SJW's also hate current media and the issues which plague the world.

Its just that SJW's going 'we need to put black, gay, trans, mentally impaired people into everything and remove every white normal person from existance', isn't helping.

Bioware is very popular with those communities if you visit their forums but yes, they often try to advise them better. They are considered one of the most progressive and forward thinking of all video game developers and with good reason.

The handling of said character was kind of iffy, too, especialy as Jien Carson is a trans character according to Word of God.

90% of complaining, though, is about how a character isn't straight or gay who the player wants to bang.

Devs think that pandering to SJW's will get them money.

SJW's are NEVER happy.

Have a trans lesbian midget in the game? That's not good enough, xhe should also be black and communist.

Why do they need to be represented?

This is the fucking future, chances are that disorders like trans would be removed via gene therapy.

What does it add to the plot?

Compare Arcade, who becomes a follower and educates you on caesar and latin and shit.

Compare him to whatsherface, who greets you by saying her 'old name' and remarking how trans and progressive she is.

ME should never have had shoehorned relationships...
