The Steam Summer Sale starts this Thursday (probably)

You gotta wonder what's the point of giving a 75% discount to Organ Trail when the game doesn't even cost 10 Dollars without the discount.

Why not?

Plenty of people wouldn't look into the game seeing the initial price of 10 bucks. 2,5 bucks is something way different.

Sales go up.

Then buy it after the sale?

But really, what are you trying to argue here? Damn those evil indie devs for putting their game out for 4,99 so the sale just takes three fiddy off that prise when it's on sale? Haha.

I am not arguing anything, I am just saying that it's kind of a pointless discount. Why does everything have to be an attack?

Attack is the best defence

And you are probably the first guy i've seen to complaining about something being cheaper

I've managed to clear a bunch of my wishlist (all indie games).

I'd recommend:
- Stealth Bastard
- Kairo
- Surgeon Simulator
- Starseed Pilgrim
- The Bridge

All great indie titles (and cheap!)

Jeez, if someone hasn't played Human Revolution somehow, now's the time. I mean, 2$ for such an amazing game is pure robbery.

Also being tempted by Sins of a Solar Empire; Rebellion. Any feedback on that game?

Yes, and I'm saying that's a stupid thing to say.

If their revenue was increased during the sale, it wasn't pointless.

Also, I bet it was great for everyone who wanted to buy Organ Trail but had a budget of 2 bucks to spend on games. And some other people, too, who could pretty much buy 2 cheap games instead of 1.

2 hours left.. 0.x on my visa and a long way to the bank... Fuck me

Great sales today.

Dark Souls -75%, GTA IV -75%, Batman Arkham City -75%, Deus Ex HR -75%, Walking Dead -75% (for four more hours). Probably the most impressive day so far. I picked up Dark Souls.

Makta: want me to pick you up a copy of Deus Ex:HR? It's only a couple of euros, so I'd be happy to (not Sins, Sins is a bit too expensive for a casual gift)

Walpknut: still waiting for a daily for Rayman

I want to say yes for that nice offer but i'm honnestly not sure if i would play Deus ex HR again.. Feels like that was a 1 playtrough game when i first tried it so it could be a waste :)

Edit: Feels bad that the games i want the most on my whislist are like 25% off if they even have some kind of sale.. Where the games i might play once or twice.. Some day.. When bored.. Etc etc are 75% off or more

And i wish they would add Dungeon Keeper 1-2 to steam!

Oh God yes. Even though there is always GOG.

Edit: Check out War For the Overworld on Steam Greenlight. Bunch of DK fans are making a 3rd installment. Even got the original dungeon guide voice actor is on board thanks to them reaching their Kickstarter goal.

I'm currently only playing games on steam so i would not really like to buy something outside of it.. There are some exceptions but no big deals.

Only bought Saints Row 3 and Comanche 4 so far. Nothing else interested me enough or I own the games already.

Warhammer 40k.. All of them is worth it!
The longest journey 1-2
Company of heroes 1 and 2
All 3 Bioshocks!
All 3 Stalker games.

I'm sure you don't have all of those!

Just brought Risen 2 on Brother None's Gamebanshee review, that and I'm a sucker for tricorns and guns.
Just a shame guncorns don't exist.

I may have gone a little easy on that game, bu I did enjoy it. It's not great, its flaws are too deep, but if the flaws don't take you out of it too much you should still be ok.

I got Just Cause 2 for about $3 the other day and it's pretty fun. It needed a few tweaks like forcing a wider FOV and you absolutely must use a 360 controller for driving cars, flying jets, etc.. Overall I'm having fun with it. The same guys are making the Mad Max game. Hopefully it's a good indicator of their ability to do big open wasteland environments without feeling fake and repetitive. It's definitely the largest game in terms of world size I ever played.

Flash sale of Rayman: Origins, will everyone please line up in front of Brother None if you don't have it. It's also apparently the only Flash Sale at 66% off rather than 75%, unless I missed one.
