On top of that valcik, according to some articles the information the Americans retrieved from the Japanese scientists was revealed to be outdated and useless. They pardoned people who committed crimes against humanity for nothing, even providing them new identities and the means to get good paying jobs in post war Japan.
 
In keeping with the post apocalyptic theme of the Fallout games. Has anyone seen Wizards by Ralph Bakshi. It's an animation with a good story and excellent art. One of my favourite films and worth a look.
 
Dust Devil; South Africa and UK, 1992
Visually stunning thriller with some supernatural powers going wild. Slow paced flick with great camera and props!
 
The Greasy Strangler (USA, 2016)
Sick, twisted, bizzare, and very American black comedy only Mr Fish would appreciate from all NMA visitors.
Greasy.
Definitely haram!
 


Doesn't look too bad. I never was crazy about the original, well, that may be a lie - when I was a teenager it impressed me but now things like that are a dime a dozen. I also don't care for Scarlet that much, but visually the movie appears to be worth a watch at some point.
 
I don't have really high hopes for it though. Ghost in the Shell is everything I love about Science Fiction. It has great visuals but under the surface it has so many messages and questions, not only that but stylistically Ghost in the Shell had a very unique way of telling stories with immages which was directly taken from Mangas. And all of that I fear will be lost in the movie for 'fast paced action'.

Does anyone REALLY think the movie creators actually go for this:

I doubt it. There is a TON of debth in GitS, a lot of symbolism and stuff going on, that you simply can't get from one or even two views on the movie which works on many different levels. And I have zero reason to believe, that live action movie, will actually have any of that underlying stuff.

But THAT is the bread and butter of the movie! Take that away, and you end up with nothing but robots and cyborgs kicking the shit out of each other ... which is nice to look at ... but not very intriguing from a Sci-Fi-perspective. That's like saying Dune is only about sandworms killing Sardukar.

Sure, which the live action movie had no chance of ever becoming. Zero. Zilch. Nada. You get the point. They ruin every single fucking thing they touch. If mindless action and pseudo-philosophical quotes is all we have to work with then so be it. I'll make sure not to go watch it in theaters and spend a couple bucks at Redbox on it.

Well, I was up for over 30 hours straight working on photochops, fan fics, songs, reading up on video shit which I never messed with due to shit internet, and working on the shitty house.

Hey what about Highlander guys? I love the series but it was treated like shit.

I decided to watch the "Fantastic Beasts and where to find them" movie because I grew up reading Harry Potter and I was curious how the fuck they extracted 2 hours of movie out of a pocket encyclopedia that was written mostly for charity....
And I have to say, it was reaaaaaally boring, like a lot of stuff happens but nothing concrete or narratively interesting happens, the movie is just an SFX reel that then just ends. I am glad I didn't go to the theater to watch it, I may be a Harry Potter nerd but I have self control.

But aren't Harry Potter films crap for the most part?
The later films totally failed at having that magic feel like in the books. IIRC first few films had it, but it was lost later on, at least for me. Plotlines became convoluted and rushed, important bits were done in a weird way...


I know shit about Fantastic Beasts or whatever.
 
Yeah the movies weren't good adaptations but I guess they fooled me into finding enjoyment because they were based on the books and I suffered the whole "Oh I know that part of the book!" syndrome, I have actually lose a lot of love for them with time.

Fantastic beasts was just dull, so that goes to show how the people in charge of the movies make it when they don't have the books to fall back on.
