I liked the new Batman movie.

I give it 3.9 out of five asshelmets. (the .9 for nobody shooting at me in the theatre)...

I saw the Batman movie last week. Banes voice grew on me, but I swear at first I thought it was someone else speaking.

Also saw the Spiderman movie today. Pretty good.

Sincerely,
The Vault Dweller

Yeah it was nice. Emma Stone is cool. Didn't like the lizard's face, though. Looked way too humanoid, compared to the one in the 90s cartoons.

I liked batman mainly just for Tom Hardy as Bane. I thought he was pretty cool and even somewhat like-able. My friend and I couldn't help but laugh at the cheesyness of parts such as "We need a hero. We need...Batman." I would say the movie was still better than the first, but still not quite as good as the second.

Yet to see Spiderman, will probably wait for DVD and see Bourne or Total Recall instead.

That's how I felt throughout the whole movie. It could have been the theater but whenever he spoke, it was too loud, and I found it too theatrical for his hardcore appearance.

A few other things bothered me about the movie but it was excellent overall. I wanted to know what would come next throughout but again, like TDK and Inception, it's one of those excellent movies that I don't want to see again in the near future.

I felt like BB struck a better balance between that dramatic realism and fun. He did some ninja shit there, some sword fighting, some tripping on acid and spent a decent amount in the suit, kicking ass. These last two movies are all about these serious and desperate situations, which is awesome and intense and epic but only entertaining once.

DB do you always carry a gun with you? Just curious

Of course he does. What if the King of England suddenly appears and starts shoving him around and collecting taxes? What would he do without his independently targeting particle beam phalanxes?

Watched Brave recently, and, well, the Sushi in the theatre is prety good surprinsingly.
Pixar lost it's touch after Up and Wall-e, at least Cars2 was bad, this was just dull. Even the Short at the beginning was dull, It just goes to show that just animating any weird "pretty" idea you get doesn't result always in something good. My Nephew liked it, so I guess they at least hit their target audience.

It is against the law to carry a firearm in a movie theatre. It's called a "gun-free zone". Funny how it didn't stop the batman shooter.

I do carry a gun wherever it is legal to do so.

Back on topic: Ted was the funniest movie I have seen in over a decade. I laughed outloud so often, my stomach muscles hurt the next day.

I give it 4.8 out of five asshelmets

Tom Hardy was Bane?! Shit! How did he "pack on 30 pounds of muscle" for that role!?! He must have used steroids? They don't say how long he took to gain 30 pounds of muscle, but I'd assume about a year. That's an incredible amount of mass to gain in even that timeframe.

Yeah I was pretty surprised he was that big in the movie. I remember looking up his workout routine, and I learned most of it was post filming effects. There was also an article with a rumor that he tried to use steroids, but they didn't work resulting in the acne on his back. Although, if you look up Tom Hardy in the movie the Fighter, he plays an MMA fighter and is even bigger, and he went through intense training and workouts for that role.

Saw Dark Knight Rises this weekend and was profoundly bored. It wasn't bad. However, I found it easily as predictable and illogical as The Avengers with a fraction of anything exciting happening on screen. Tom Hardy was totally robbed by having to wear a mask on his face for all but 2 seconds. He's still an unknown in Hollywood, and as I predicted, this movie didn't help. It's too bad, because he's a really good actor. Maybe the upcoming Mad Max reboot will finally launch him.

Mad Max should be awesome. Tom Hardy will be really good I think. He is only really known for Inception and that one Romance he was in as a spy. I am sure he will get more roles now that directors saw him in Batman.

Yea, I'm glad he got that Bane role, if only for exposure. He strikes me as a nut for some reason, maybe that's after I saw him in Bronson, but I like that in an actor and would definitely like to see him do more.

That spy movie though looks like absolute shit. I haven't seen it but there is that fucking retarded Hollywood vibe about it.

I imagine Tom Hardy could look something like Lord Humongous. Any thoughts? Not much of a stretch from Bane to that guy. I hope Mad Max gets a decent treatment. It would be a shame if it sucked.

Maybe without the mask though. Give him more face-time and all that jazz.

He is on IMDb to be playing Max Rockatansky. I think Mad Max will be a really good movie they just might not have a huge following. Something like Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter, which is a movie a lot of people enjoyed and had mild success. It won't be a failure but it won't be a blockbuster hit. Who knows though you can do anything if you put the money in the right places.

This is the kind of look you can expect (more gritty as you can imagine)
