There is something rotten in Fallout New Vegas

I'm curious what this thread even is about.

Yes, NV has issues here and there, I don't think a single scripted game is flawless.

But the major parts as far as I am aware of, are fine.

Gameplay is fine, dialogue, mechanics, etc, all fine.

Even the story is fine.

Why bother nitpick "NO CLOTHEZ" (when they have clothes), when you can nitpick stuff like "Fallout 3's Enclave literally have no idea what their goal is".

Because Doc Mitchell is clearly a serial rapist, dude were you not paying attention!? It's obvious that Victor knocks out people, brings them to Doc and that's when all the fucked up shit happens. When they wake, he claims they were shot in the head and sends them on their way none the wiser.

You gotta love conspiracy theories don't ya? XD

But wait... Why having the vigor-testing machine after Doc does his "work" on people? Wouldn't he do it before? So he knew if they are loving and compatible (isn't that what diagnostic machines do?) before he would perform the full "checkup".
Why would he need the machine after? I bet there is another conspiracy behind it, but I lack the brain power to find it out.

I'm not gonna say New Vegas is perfect and that it doesn't have issues because it does, but from what i've seen from some of the OP's posts in the other thread, it seem the OP is really reaching way too far to try to find things to criticize New Vegas.

Remember that plane that crashed while carrying star musicians like Buddy Holly? Obsidian is to blame. That's why we see so much Elvis promotion in New Vegas.

By the way, the water tower at Goodsprings is a purely game mechanical thing. Just go on whatever hill you want and look around-- you will see landmarks everywhere. Dinky the dinosaur, that statue at the Mojave Outpost, the casinos at the strip, the water tower at Goodsprings, the tower of Helios One, etc... it's everywhere. It's used for orientation. No matter where in the gameworld you are standing, you'll always see at least one of these landmarks.

How does water get to my home?

. . . Cities and towns build those big water towers on top of the highest hills and then fill them with water. So even if you live on a hill, there's a good chance the water tower is higher than your house. Water moves from the tower, due to gravity, and goes down a large pipe from the tower and then through an intricate network of pipes that eventually reach your house.

Although gravity supplies the power to move water from the tower to peoples' homes, electricity is needed to run a pump to push water from the source into the tower. Although water can be delivered to pipes going to homes directly from the pump, the water tower is needed for periods of the day when demand exceeds the supply the pump can deliver. These water towers are often designed to hold the amount of water needed for a day's worth of use by the customers.

You've probably passed by so many water towers that you just ignore them, but they are an essential mechanism for getting water to your faucets. . . .

Goodsprings has potable water, at least in some instances. There are water pumps, and there is an essential water tower up on a hill. The utterly moronic part is that someone decided to make a cemetery on the same hill as the water tower, in extremely close proximity to it. The silly argument about a "defunct" water tower has been debunked.

Have a nice day.
