Mass Effect 2 felt like an expansion rather than a full fledged sequel, and while the original's gameplay was clunky, it was a solid framework for a more mechanically deep system that never came. I included footage from the demos to show all the cool shit that got scrapped like actual squad control and orders, etc. The sequel should have improved on the system and not scrapped half the gameplay for a shittier gears clone.

I still don't know what the fuck a human reaper is. I'm not really complaining that Mass Effect 2 was basically "Side Adventures in the Galaxy: THe Game" but its hardly an epic space opera trilogy if you can skip the second entry entirely and understand everything going on.

Well all I'm saying for sure is that for supposedly one of the most beautiful women of all time she looks shockingly like a drag queen in a lot of her photos.
I think she simply fit the beauty standard of her time. Maybe people back then would think about women which are seen as beautiful today as ugly and too skinny. Who knows? I guess part of what made her intersting was also the drama about her. Even today it is quite difficult to tell the difference between truth and rumor when it comes to her personality.

Here's a new one.

Metal, Rock, and whatever doesn't fit with Fantasy. I don't know who started it, but I wish it never happened. I'm not looking for some greasy haired metal dude screaming at the top of his lungs when I look for Melkor or Angband music, I'm looking for something chilling, eerie, atmospheric, grandiose, bellicose.

If memory doesn't fail me, some of the earliest bands in metal. Even if the whole band was not fantasy themed they often dipped into fantasy themes from time to time. I mean even Black Sabbath had The Wizard, Deep Purple has an album named Stormbringer, Dust had Hard Attack and its cover was this

Sure it's not all the proto metal and early metal was about it but it wasn't absent either. I like it sometimes other times it's cheesy. But a lot of metal bands take themes to the level of cheesy.

The Expanse doens't pique my interest. I like that it has a semi-hard/more hard scifi veneer but damn I would be more interested if it was JUST the Solar System, a complex system, and not the three main factions plus alien macguffinite.

Fixed camera for the win. This is the annual Halloween Graves/Toront discussion about how Resident Evil is now shit but he thinks it's totally awesome and FPSevil is cool.

Fixed camera is based, agreed. Theres a type of gameplay there that you can only truly get with the fixed camera+tank controls that the original resident evil invented. That said, both RE7 and REmake 2 are fantastic translations of the classic resident evil gameplay loop even if some things were lost in that translation.

The Outlast games are shit, and made by a faggot who thinks running away to hide in lockers is fun (probably coping from getting shoved in too many lockers) and spends time animating cock and balls like a sycophant. Then they try to turn you into a tranny and ends the game only for you to get ghost raped and die from anal fissures or something. But of course this all came about when Amnesia (another overrated game) got popular and these pseudo-horror games got recognized because a whole load of heckin' youtubers played it and flippin' freaked out.

I don't like Half Life 2's soundtrack. Never really liked the 90s' aesthetic.

Fallout 4's mod support for consoles is revolutionary and I hope starts a trend for other developers to follow.

Trials: Rising has the most generous form of loot-boxes I've ever seen. Not only are they rewards for leveling up, you can preview what inside the loot-box and spend in-game currency to randomize the loot after you've opened the box? Sure, the currency and boxes are still being sold as microtransactions, but it pales in comparison to these features.

N-NECRO!

Anyways, Aliens is a shit film just watch predator, Terminator 2 is an inferior sequel that's on some Disney shit, MCU is shit (Iron Man 1 is cool), Star Wars prequels are fine (RLM are fags), Tarantino is a mediocre director, Metallica is a shit band, German thrash is superior to American, Halo CE > the rest, Morrowind has the best combat and gameplay out of all Howard Scrolls (muh dicerolls), and Irish are white (Anglos BTFO).

Child of God almost beats Blood Meridian as Cormac McCarthy’s masterpiece novel, because it’s an exercise in sick catharsis.

Almost, but it doesn't. Great novel for sure, but not as bleak or deep as Blood Meridian. I'd put it on the similar level as The Road, although they are vastly different.

Don't let your fetish for a lifeless onahole cloud your judgement for literature, I found Child of god to be pretty funny though, "Oh hey you little inbred tike I'm gonna burn you alive." Fucking priceless.

I haven't read any of those (yet, I guess I'll have more free time to do that stuff soon the way things are looking). But I did watch Child of God and that was fucking awesome.

I think someone once mentioned Blood Meridian to me but overall I'm interested in McCarthy because an old friend gave him pretty high praise. That friend has good taste 9/10 times.

It’s the shining example of the anti-western genre.

Denis Villeneuve is both better than Christopher Nolan and the best director in Hollywood at the moment.
This will be the best treatment Dune will get as far as I can tell.
