At minute 85 poland had ZERO strikes at goal. ok so what the hell happened here? And why were they so slow and fat?

And Kharn you like to think you invented the system, but in fact you've just perfected it. Really :)

As borzoj put it, we sent ragpickers instead of footballers. I suspected that'd happen.

Poles got their asses handed to them on a silver platter, with sugar and cherries on top.

Ecuador played pretty well, I have to say. All the other teams sucked. But remember, Ecuador beat Argentine and Brasil in the South American Cup.

And man, Group A should be called the "bad defense Group". Ecuador was the only one with a half-decent defense.

Yeah, Group A certainly should be renamed that... Eh, Ecuador's defence ain't that great, but it sure is better than the others!

I think Australia's defence is well put together, it just seems a problem that when the pressure really does come down on the team, they just seem to fail scoring goals...

Goddamnit, I'd almost predected it perfectly, if it Reasonably exciting to watch, better football than with Germany - Costa Rica.

Well, at least we had some fun watching the game over here in Germany.

Germans never played nice football... but somehow we managed to have better scores than the Netherlands all the time...

You have to admit that the first and the last goal were really nice ones.

German sides are odd, they always seem to do well in World Cups despite having distinctly average sides.

Yees!Yes!Yes!

Sorry to all the Swedes, but Trinidad achieving 0-0 with 10 men is just too delicious! :)

And it is the team of Latapy, a former idol of my local team (he's 38 years old or something!)

Seeing the despair and pain on the faces of the Swedes at the end of that game pleased me. Mmm.

Man, the Ivory Coast were really holding it together for a while, there. This is a bummer.

Heh, so very true. I even thought for a few minutes they may even hold them off to a draw, but I'm sure that was just wishful thinking.

They were doing great until Argentina scored that first goal. After that it's almost like they just gave up. When they finally scored, things started to turn around, but it was too little too late.

Ah well.

Ah well, as the English guys at my work say: "Fucking Argentine cheats!"

[No offence to any Argentinian people on this board ]

I found it amusing that, as a country marketing themselves as 'the team everybody grows to love', T&T made a lot of very, very dirty fouls...

From past experience Argentina’s players require the lightest of touches (if any) to dive and roll around on the floor as if they'd been picked off by a sniper.

There was some evidence of that in the match.

Hmm, there is going to be some tension around here, old foe.

Hehe, pity we're not in your group. We'll see you in the quarter finals or somming or nuffen.

Trinidad & Tobago!!!
I don't know anything about them, but i know they'll win. BTW did they beat Sweden?
