I'm ok with an more open world approach, as long it doesn't involve 'questing' ala "Another settlemends needs your help". What I like dabout Metro was the small bits of information, the little storytelling here and there.

I really hope that this is what they will give the player to explore. Imagine meeting NPCs, at places which are hard to reach and they explain the world, anomalies and lore as reward isntead of a better, bigger sniper/assault rifle/whateverboostyourstats.

More open world, I guess there is not enough open world games out there, I mean no month without at least one open world release, right? The horror.

I guess the game is adhering to the books to some extent. Hopefully the open world is not the main focus of the game.

What confuses you? Combat is reminiscent of FOT and X-Com. Be sure to specialize your team, almost to the point of neglecting their regular weapon skills, which you'll have ample oportunity to pump up later. Try not to give too many specializations to each team member (if you play with your own designed team)

thanks for the tips guys. @zegh8578 it is just a lot to take in at once. this usually happens to me whenever I start a new RPG. Fallout 1 confused the hell out of me when I first tried it, but now I could play it in my sleep.
