    Well mass effect also has an interesting setting with cool characters and so far is actually doing cool things with it. That gives it a massive leg up on fallout 4.

    Youd literally have to make entirely separate games and it would be impossible to implement a system where you could switch on the fly. It would fuck up the leveling for the rpg half.

    Some games I played had the option to play a "story mode". It was simply a setting where the game became so easy that you had no challange in front of you.
