Wanna revisit the thread with the title not found here in poll which I found best so far: fan-made TC Fallout: Nevada. For best quest design in a series (on par with Vegas or sometimes even better) plus classic engine with it's all advantages/disadvantages but tweaked. And even skills are make more sense and use. Even soundtrack is distinct and quite good. Sadly most of it is not on youtube anymore. But here's one example. (this 'of' is excess, old title, long story)

Wish I could play that man, i'm insanely jealous. I could definitely see that piece of OST being in the original games, no question.

I know, it's sad. This one TC should really be well promoted, even got into hands of people who worked on Fallout. Especially Cain and Avellone. And Bethesda numskulls as an example.
Definitely. I'm sure it would be a lot more popular if there was an English translated version. You think there ever will be?

Well, several people on their own tried. I tried too but the text quality wasn't even bearable. (not enough tried, that's it) Because some of text blocks are not that easy to translate to english without looking dumb. Even though the original text was improved in final version to be more eng-friendly unlike betas.

You know guys, if you want a translation done the best way is to bug the creators until they either have a mental breakdown or, translate it into english.

The creator was bugged to even get final version done before already. And took like three years to do it.
It's over.

Wait Dr Fallout you grew up in Russia didn't you? You speak the language right, can't you play it?
Oh I can play it, but everything seems slower and clunkier to me. When I read Russian everyone starts to talk s-l-o-w-l-y in my head.

I threw in my vote for Fallout 1. Aside from Fallout 3 which served as the catalyst for getting me into the series, it was Fallout 1 that really cemented my love for the series. The isometric style of gameplay was a nice change of pace from the FPS style games I was used to. The Master was a pretty compelling bad guy. He had good intentions with unifying the wasteland, the means through which he intended to carry this out where clearly misguided. Not only that but his appearance and the way he spoke was pretty unique and chilling. Beating the game felt so damn satisfying, and I couldn't help but pity The Vault Dweller. He saves Vault 13 twice and he is cast out as a pariah for his efforts.

I like how there's only one person who voted for Fallout 3 and Fallout 4, making them tied with BOS and Fallout Shelter.

Even the text quantity of the Fallout of Nevada is 3 times more than in original F2, it will not be so costly to have an english translation. I think 1k usd will be enough for good translation. And I suppose if mr Poshelujin was able to create such a game he will be able to find a translator. Crowdfounding is all you need.

I don't think Bethesda likes it when modders ask for money in order to make mods; they took down a kickstarter for a Fallout 1 nude mod and I don't really see the difference between that and a translation for Fallout of Nevada. Luckily there's quite a large Fallout-Russian fan base, so maybe a team will form someday.
