Well, the topics everyone was on about just kept floating around, so there was not really a specific subject to go off-topic from in the first place. As for the OP's question, in my opinion I would say yes to gameplay and no to writing, but in overall terms, I guess it's a no. We can't honestly say Fallout 4 is, for all intents and purposes, better than Fallout 3. I can honestly say that it does some things better than Fallout 3, but not nearly all of it.
