Deus Ex: Mankind Divided - 101 Trailer

Let's hope this time devs included everything they wanted unlike with Human Revolution case (don't take my word, complete Director's Cut with developer commentary, it's quite interesting. And also sad).
I swear games become more and more like movies these days, with director cuts, sequels about sequels, prequels, reboots, remastered versions of the same games and special editions. While the number is still not that high right now, I really cringe when I see people demanding a remastered version of something like Diablo 2. Really? Com on guys! Make NEW stuff!

I found this from the Codex, is this real? If so than fuck getting this game even on a Steam sale:

I'm not saying that your opinion is wrong I'm just pointing out the reason why I think HR is dumbed down and why MD will likely even be worse.
I think, Deus Ex:HR actually works a lot better as a reboot then a prequel to Deus Ex 1. I mean, it has barely anything to do with DE1. Just a few names mentioned here and there, but that's it. It's really a whole new kind of game if you think about it. So I hope DE:MD, will have much closer ties to DE1.

Well, remasters are good for games that are outdated for current systems and are literally unplayable for most people. >_>
Or porting and remastering a console exclusive so that more people can enjoy it. (Still waiting for a REvil 2 remake port/remake to PC...)

Sure! I would love to see remastered versions of certain games. But ... it doesn't make sense everywhere. Diablo 2? Baldurs Gate? How is a remastered version going to look here ... the charm of those games was the look for example. And an updated engine can never create the same feeling. I would welcome if they made new games, but which keept the spirit of those games.

I was thinking the same thing today, Deus Ex 1 and Invisible War have so little in common with Human Revolution and now Mankind Divided, it might as well be a re-imagining of the franchise.
Probably would have been even better if it had been its own thing.

If I remember correctly, HR was meant to be a reboot, but they decided to make it a prequel.

Looking at gameplay right now. Whoever complained about the gold filter should be hung. It was a fucking cheap ass way to create atmosphere but damn did it work. This game looks kind of boring without it.

Whoever complained about the gold filter
WAIT they removed the color filter? FFS. I hate people so much.

It looked great in Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Now it probably looks generic as hell. This is why we can't have nice things.

Color filters are great when done well, and it was definitely appropriate for Human Revolution. My interest in this game has dropped even further.

Why are people so dumb and tasteless? I guess every game has to look generic like Call of Duty.

What is the thought process? "Hey we just made Human Revolution that scored 90 on metacritic and was widely praised as a work of art and good successor game to the original Deus Ex, which has some of the most hardcore fans in gaming - let's start changing things that made the game unique!"

If it isn't broken stop fixing it. I'm actually more disappointed about this than about the pre-order bollocks!

Welp, after an okay intro mission I arrive at the start of the game and already during the ingame cutscene weird stuff happens.
-NPCs suddenly disappear
-One NPC suddenly appears (a young boy appears out of a female NPCs, I don't think this is what is understood about reproduction and growing up fast)
-I think my character/Jensen walked through several characters as otherwise he is getting really disturbingly close with some random people on the street (at one point he was basically peeking over a woman's shoulder while talking to another character)
-Two NPCs walked through other standing NPCs

Then the game crashed.

God damn, the denuvo drm using game list is growing very fast. So no linux port for Deux Ex and many games to come. Not that i would buy a 60 dollar game, and a game with such drm in any case.
Wait for Voksi nuke

Welp... there goes my excitement for Mankind Divided. I guess Eidos Montreal has been taking notes from the wrong aspects of triple-A game development. Perhaps the pre-order bollocks should have been taken as foreshadowing for the final product's missteps if that aforesaid bollocks was considered by the publishers (and possibly the developers)

So, they've resorted to selling cheat codes for people with too much disposable income? Apparently most of those micro-transactions are for Breach (some other game mode) but there appears to be some made available for single-player. If the latter is accurate, this will be a new low for Eidos Montreal (or Square Enix if they were the ones to implement it). It's making me miss the days when cheat codes were still unlockables or required discovery.

EDIT: Good thing I've been following this chart nowadays when it comes to hyped games

To be honest I think this photo realism nonsense is the problem not removing the piss filter. Games don't try to create their own artistic style to their game and instead copies the same old "lets photo realism" bullshit, the game ends up looking like every other boring, dull, artistically bankrupt AAA game on the market.
