Fallout 3 Trailer

This is awesome. Even beyond :D

Also, notice that the radio is the same model the TV in the Fallout intro was. As for the armor... well, it is several tens of years after the war, so it might've been partially rebuilt from other armors, giving it this "bulky scrappy" look.

Anyways, I give it a :D

Well they had a lot of things in that bus... Vault Boy, Transistors? Lightbulps, Ink Spots and a NUKA COLA -classic  .

Hmm I am guessing since it is concentrated so much on the bus it is going to be a:

Fallout: The Post Apocalyptic Bus Driving Game

Edit: Sorry for doublepost

I haven't been this satasfied with a reveal trailer since, well, the Grand Theft Auto 4 reveal. Fall 2008? I might have a computer that could run more than just Solitare by then. (As much as I love my Xbox 360, I do realise that there are some games that are better played with a mouse and keyboard.) Yeah, I'm pumped. Can't wait to see what happens next.

Upon further reflection it seems kind of... forced... like a cheap copy of the fallout intro...

It even has a similar timing.

Come ON, there is no way I'm going to complain about FO3 being too much like FO1. With all the ways it could otherwise go? No way.

Since that's done with the game engine, I think it's certain that Fallout 3 will be first-person. I'll just have to accept that.

Good ol' Radiation King..

I guess it is to be expected, but I can't say I feel particularly excited. It's nice to have the Ink Spots and Ron Perlman, but it just leaves me with an empty feeling inside. Even as a teaser trailer, it failed to leave me wanting more.
It's been to long a wait, I want to see gameplay, not fluff.

Oh well, it's OK for what it is I guess.

EDIT: And bleh, more orchestral music towards the end of it.

:wtf: I see that as a good thing, actually.

You guys are never pleased, are you?

As for the whole Brotherhood thing: it's not like you see a whole horde of them, is it? You see just one. And I dig the sinister, dark look of the guy. It fits the atmosphere perfectly.

I'm so glad with this trailer, even though I would have been even more excited if we had seen some real ingame footage.

Why is everyone acting as if they just had sex for the first time while in reality all they did was watch a porn movie.

Okay strange analog but most of you seem to be ga ga over a pretty little intro that rehashes elements from Fallout 1 intro (Ron Perlman) and uses the song the original team was going to use.

We saw barely anything ingame related, yes I did read that this intro was supposedly made with the ingame engine, but we never got any answers on the big questions; what is the gameplay going to be like, will it be FPS, Third Person or Classic Fallout perspective?

Give me a couple of thousands dollars worth of computer equipment and a team of skilled programmers, artists and animators and enough money to hire a couple of voice actors and I can promise you I could come up with something just as similar as what we saw and still call it Fallout 3.

It is a teaser not a trailer!

Holy sht
looks good - they have the feeling right!
Very Fallout 1 :) Even the architecture looks simillar to the one from Fallout's intro :)
The real problem is that there's no gameplay ...

Finally saw the whole thing. This is all in-engine footage, so I don't see a whole lot of promise. It came off as very easily being Oblivion with guns. I guess the emptiness of TES would be better served by a wasteland setting, heh. Beyond some superficial graphical aspects, this doesn't seem positive to me.

I'm ready to hold down W for 20 minutes to get through that city, though! Oo! Mantids! Aim, click, click! Dead! I got 2 mantid goo! I can use my herbal skill to make a healing po-- I mean stimpaks! Oh shit a deathclaw, and I'm only level 37! PRESS 'S' and clickclickclickclickclick for 10 minutes then die. Reload, shit, can't go that way I guess, maybe I'll just look for one of several hundred pigrat caves, for some freeform, sandboxed XP gatherin'. Also, I'm almost out of pigrat snot, so I can't make any antidote powders.

Something that dispels the previous paragraph is what I'm hoping for. This video just shows me its pretty, not rusty enough, full of too much junk (did the world end 10 years ago?), and most of the architecture is correct (but no googie, just art deco).

Wow. Wow. hat was frigging AWESOME!

Who's taking preorders? 'cept y'know, thos pesky Canadians?

I liked the BoS guy, didn't like the Bethsoft music, and thought it was far too short. Also, Fall of '08? :( Patience is not a virtue of mine.

They even have the Hula Doll right!
