Fallout 4 coming out on November 10, free mobile spin-off out now

Borderlands isn't fair in comparison at all.

Borderlands is good and it's good at what it's advertised as. (shooter looter with simple RPG stuff)

kinda my point. There are few people here who love to hate mainstream RPG's, but at the same time play them all. Unlike "fanboys" they stayed all night so they can be the first to see Beth stream.. and then spend all their time spaming same slogans\slander, like comparing to Bioware (who they love to hate) generic(off course) franchise (which they played) to show how bad they find it.

Freddie, do you have any actual arguments or all you are going to post is generalizations on people you disagree with and strawman arguments?

and the Laser Muskets aren't so bad on further examination... You wind it up, presumably to build a charge, and with different lengths of winding comes different damage/ accuracy levels. Perhaps something mass produced by the Institute to allow troops to fight after ammo is gone, until the reflecting mirrors are so damaged the gun won't even function?
Actually, the musket thingie uses ammo from the ammo pool, which means that it consumes ammo. If the winding up thing is meant so that the gun isn't reliant on ammo then the ammo wouldn't count down with each wind-up.

[edit]

What I mean is that it doesn't charge up its own energy, so what's the point of the wind up feature?
Unless that 900 something ammo is actually not energy cells/microfusion cells but something like the recharger rifle.
Even then I don't get it, why not have an unlimited sign for ammo, use it until it breaks?
Good questions, and you're right. I suggested a few other ways it could work, but we'll just have to wait and see I suppose.

I absolutely HATE the forced back story they are giving your character with a baby and a wife/husband. Feels like Bethesda is going all out with the cheap plot devices and is using a cheap way to make your character relatable. Kinda reminds with what they did with Mass Effect 3 and that stupid kid. "This is a kid, he dies, you should feel bad and scared for life! FEEL SAD AND EMOTIONAL!" That's just the Hollywood secret I guess. :V

I was really hoping The back story was about Todd Howard and Voiced by Todd.
I wanted to be VD as Todd Howard with my Low intelligence companion/sex slave Pete Hines.
Pre War segment is a day in the life of Tom Howard. APimped out mansion, bitches everywhere. When the VaultTec guy comes to the door, you give him automatic SPECIAL stats and duck size (12 inches).

Except I have been actually ontributing to the conversation, freddie has only been shitposting the whole time.

Well, the Unwashed Villagers love that their favorite dog companion can't die. Almost universal acclaim around the web. I have seen numerous complaints that people get frustrated because they have to reload the game when a companion dies. What is the point of playing the game if there is no challenge? It would be as simple as adding hardcore mode, but I'm sure that would be too hard for Bethesda to set up, along with the (most likely) missing faction system. I know the casual fans just have to be catered to but man oh man. Modern day gamers are actually too lazy to keep their companions alive? They want immersion but no consequences? I've seen people complain that they might not have to eat, sleep, and drink to survive in the game, but they want an immortal legion of companions.

To be fair, not just "Modern day gamers" feel that way. For me the difference between tactics\pre-planing and hair-tearing frustration winds down to how good the AI and our level of control over the situation..

EDIT: For example i'd prefer to have the option to able to use stealth (e.g. keep my companions back and sneak up and ambush someone) as oppose to be forced to rush in gun blazing Rambo style before my dog does that (or have a pathfidning issue) and die..

I really hope I won't be forced to take the dog (Dogmeat, uh, Mk IV?) for adventuring. I'd rather just leave it to watch my base/garage/home.
Probably because I never like pets, and blast Dogmeat to pieces in Junktown. :\

Dogmeat canonically died in the first game and his appereance in 2 comes from a non canon random encounter, why can't Bethesda take a hint?

Thats why a lot of them hate New Vegas. They didn't like that your actions have consequences. They just want to go around and be Billy badass and shot things in their Power Armor.

Guess they don't give a **** about special encounters being non-canon, and we got aliens and UFO "canonized" in FO3 DLC.

Robo Buttler as a companion would be more interesting than the stupid dog. WIth their emphasis on Crafting and shit you could slowly turn your Mr handy into a custom floating robot with all sorts of weapons and armor plating at it's disposal.

I agree the AI needs to be fixed. I have the feeling it has stayed the same since Morrowind.

Yep. Which is why we will have level scaling in Fallout 4 too. Don't want to dissuade the players from running off in whatever direction they want.

Also it seems like the level cap in FO4 is gonna be extremely high. So you can bet your ass you can make a super perfect character with all the perks with no problem.
