Fallout 4 coming out on November 10, free mobile spin-off out now

Sad thing is he can do great things when he's allowed to work with his voice (ie Penguin from Batman AC). Not asking for that, but it's seems like Bethesda is trying to go for 'voiced, but as little character as possible so players can still project.'

Nolan North voiced Penguin in Arkham City. Troy Baker voiced Two-Face.

Oh, my mistake. They've worked on a few things together, so I guess I got the two mixed up on that one.
It's irrelevant, the VAs have been confirmed.

Are you..... dumb? Do you even understand what the image is comparing? Oh my god, Fallout 3 fans, amazing.....

I'll spell it out for you:

1. Dialog is shortened so that you don't have to hear it /read it twice
as in:
need help?
means -> hello good sir i'm here to offer you my assistance
Bad thing -> modding, you can't shorten your custom quest dialog to 2 unvoiced lines

2. Since the game is not out, you can't know that you are limited to those 4 options. There is a chance (a bit a small one) that you can press some other button and 4 NEW options pop out. Todd said himself that you can have 2 seperate conversations although they try to advoid that.

And that is what i'm pointing out to you. In vanilla you had 3 options, if they had more to say you could scroll -> doesn't mean that you can't do the same here.

06:00 Emil Pagliarulo (lead writer) talks about Dialog options for Fallout 4

Ugh. That's the same writer from Fallout 3 right? That makes me optimistic. >_>

OH GOD NO! Not that guy! I always despised him for writing that stupid Liberty Prime character! I mean who makes a robot WITH LEGS!? Why not a tank!? I don't know, guys. I think my little flame of hope has just been doused.

Let me explain to you,
1. the UI shows 4 buttons mapped to a console controller, and it only display 4 options at a time, no list no nothing. So it's not comparable to scrolling down to be able to ask more things in any way.... Specially when those options you see on the other images usually openned up new dialogue trees. They are not gonna redo the UI for a game that is a couple of months away, that's not how it works.
2. The dialogue is shortened, that's exactly the problem. Can't you see? From specific questions that actually let you know what you are asking to general 2 word summaries that then turn into 10 lines after you click it, that's bad.

In FNV you had a LOT of options but the listbox was small, so you scrolled down, now the list is short itself, it's four lines of generic two word statements. If thy are gonna put more options why even map it to the four buttons? Can't modern gamers navigate a fucking list? Too complicated?

Edit:http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1281932/

IMDB for the Male Protag voice actor. Man, so awesome, they actually got the guy who did additional voices on Minions!

I hope it's not one of Todd Howard's famous bullshit statements. It gives a little bit of hope.... At least as far as it being a solid base for another ObsiFallout goes.

1. Don't like the new cross/wheel system either, i'm just saying that there is a chance that we don't know all we need to know about it yet. For instance if you are adding your own mod, will you have to edit npc choice into a,b,c option -> vanila, d) more -> new segment a) last vanila b) your custom c) back d) more -> a, b ) your custom c) back, d) more -> and so on
Or perhaps they saw that coming and now you have a,b,c,d -> some trigger button -> next set.

My point is that it will suck big time if it works as you say it does.

2.) Well, on some reddit link you can see that the dialog has a set tone. positive;negative;qustion;neutral. So you pretty much know where you stand. Again problem will be in modding not in vanilla. Imagine how it will look when you have 4 unvoiced sentences in that little shit wheel?

addon) because they have changed the interaction model/ adjustments to consoles.

And that's the problem it's a shitty system. I mean I have already seen Modders that were planning things for Fallout 4 getting discouraged by the reveal of the voiced protagonist and the Dialogue Cross and then switching their mods for New Vegas.

I tautly saw quite a few Adamowicz pieces. The majority wasn't, but quite a few.

And besides, if they didn't start immediately after 3 that's a good thing. More chance to learn from NV

I hope you can change the color of the UI again, that neon bright green they had looked like shit. The UI looked ugly too except for the map on the middle.

Dust is horribly unbalanced and the dude that created it simply deleted character references. Poorly done. Apparently killing a few people instantly drives you to insanity.

I doubt Bethesda wouldn't of added some alternative to the Dialogue wheel for Modders, since they're adding mod support for consoles and such.

Mod support to them could just be weapon and armor mods. The paid mod thing gets me worried.
