Fallout 4 coming out on November 10, free mobile spin-off out now

"Yes, Obsidian managed to make FO work on consoles by dumbing down graphics, removing parts from the Strip, removing parts from Freeside, cutting off the Strip and the Freeside. "

Which we can thank Beth for as they gave Obsidian a ridiculously short dev time for.

Not sure why people keep blaming millenial gamers for this shit. I'm a millenial (born 1991) and played FO1 and 2 when I was ten. I guess I can cope better, Fallout 3 was bad as a Fallout game, but at least it made it possible for New Vegas to happen, I honestly wish Obsidian had bought the franchise. Same with Fallout 4, they've made the gameplay better and added some nice stuff. There is some bad crap but that's what time does, there was no way the Fallout I played as a kid would continue in the form it was in. Hopefully Obsidian gets another shot at a better spinoff, but if not it's time to accept it and move on.

I guess they think "millenial" means being born in the Naughts and not the generation from ~1982 to ~2004. And it's always good to blame the younger generation.

I don't remember Obsidian cutting things out of Freeside and the Strip, maybe adding those big groups of cars to block certain streets but not removing sections of the neighborhoods.

This is true, I do enjoy blaming babies for random things, in my mind it makes 'em tougher. Damn babies, ruining my space program and my fallout.

Anyone else playing Fallout Shelter (not too into mobile games myself)? Its not bad for what it is, the descriptions given are pretty accurate.

If that is the estabilished, strict definition of the term Millenial, then I admit I've used it wrong.

Consider this though, I was born in 1982 and I think it's just as stupid to refer to me as a Millenial, as part of Generation X.

Yes, weirdly enough that is the definition of "millennial". I don't get it either, but that's how it is.
All these "Generations" are weird, anyway.

I'd love to play it, but android version isn't out yet. What's worse is that I have a Kindle Fire Hd, which means even if it's released on Amazon, it might have their famous "incompatability" where they make a game that would work on my tablet (The Walking Dead runs on it for chrissakes!) Only download onto HDX in an attempt to sell their new tablet. PRICKS!

Maybe you shouldn't be a dumbass who hides behind categories dependant on such dumb shit as the year you were born to feel superior or to dismiss other people's points and instead actually engage in discussion. Who would have thought?

Hey now, we're all guilty of this to some extent- myself especially, though I try not to. I have noticed you claim that modern videogame mechanics are designed for idiots and casuals- is that not a convenient categorization to dismiss opinion?

This isn't mudslinging FYI. I am legitimately curious how you view this.

No, because that one is actually based on behavior and ideas, not on the year they were born. And I usually engage in dialogue about them. I only categorise when I am trolling people for their taste in music.

I'm wondering if Brotherhood are going to be the white knights again. I could probably tolerate their continued existence if they're actually somewhat closer real Brotherhood, but somehow I got a feeling they're going to be part of Lyon's brotherhood.

odd though that the only bit we did see of them was them getting killed by the player.
It would make no damn sense to have an old school Brotherhood. They should just find some way to make the Lyons Pride grimdark.

Why not? The Brotherhood Outcasts were basically old school, except for the weird red paintjob.

Because the BoS has the manpower, the tech, the love of the Wastelanders, and access to Project Purity. It don't make sense for the Outcasts to then overtake the Brotherhood.

You are giving them too much credit for having hostile BOS guys in there, in all their Fallout Trailers they are always killing everyone, even friendly NPCs because Fallout is just killing people to 50's music. Even the Trailers for New Vegas had things like your character just rampaging through the strip, Camp Forlom Hope, The Fort and fighting a Feral Ghoul horde in Freeside. BOS is probably still gonna be Knights in shiny armor with a bunch of inmortal NPCs.

Well since it is also shown that you have to signal vertibirds to pick you up, it's possible that something will need to trigger the BoS in a Verti coming after you.

That's more Beth's Gamebryo being shit than the consoles not being able to handle those areas.

All of that related to Gamebryo except graphics. All PS3/X360 games are forced to run at ultra low IIRC. And it doesn't change the fact that Obsidian did not manage to make it run acceptably on consoles.

Maybe the Outcasts moved to Boston, but the Lyons didn't, and then the Outcasts decided that the whole "Outcast" business was not necessary anymore?
We'll see.

MANY NPCs, MANY scripts were removed from both. Freeside has all of its OST cut ffs.

Strip has a mini quest cut, etc. Check out the uncut mods.

Nope. Nothing related to that.

That would be as silly as transplanting the BoS and Enclave to Washington . The Outcasts have no infrastructure- the only reasonable outcome for them is some kind of reconciliation with Lyons, or more likely Fort Independence meeting atomic fire.
