Oh right! If the Great Todd Howard says its good then it must be!
Seriously though, I am getting a lot of Mass Effect 3 vibes with this game. The stripping of RPG elements to appease and branch out to the the larger casual, dudebro and attention challenged demographic, the stupid gimmicks, ect. This is whats become of AAA title games and it is sad to see the Fallout series become just another soulless cash cow made by people who really don't give a shit about lore or story.
I need you to do me a favor. Big fucking favor.
Stop with the buzzwords. Stop saying "casual", "dudebro", or especially "attention-challenged".
I get it. You think you're a nerd. You're think you're persecuted by the current videogame audience and their attention spans, so you use a bunch of convenient buzz-words to lash back against what you see as an attack on your nerddom and probably your "intellect". I get it.
Cut it out. It's annoying. It gets in the way of actual conversation.
My point is simple. I will have to repeat it, apparently.
Fallout 4 and it's mobile-spin off have potential because they represent Bethesda perfecting their methodology of player freedom. This means that while we might not think these gameplay elements fit into the Fallout world, they still are well-done and deserve merit of their own. What is really important is that Obsidian will be able to fluently implement these elements into a better Fallout game at some point in the future.
Simple, right?
